Promoting Wound Healing?

I'm looking for ideas for how I can boost my body's ability to heal.  I just got home from having a pretty nasty procedure on 2 of my toes. I'll have stitches for 2 weeks and 10 days of oral antibiotics.  I already take a prenatal vitamin (not currently preg, just BFing), a vit B supplement, fish oil, magnesium, vit D, and probiotics.  So far, I'm upping my probiotics, vit C and I think I have some echinacea I'll start.  I'm going to cut out sugar/carbs and up my protein.  Anything else I should try?  Any thoughts would really be appreciated.  TIA!

eta:  I'm also drinking 100% cranberry juice to hopefully encourage my gut to not freak out too much with the abx and to deter infection.

Once the immediacy of the surgical wounds has passed you can try an herbal poultice. You can make a pack from fresh or dried herbs mixed with olive oil or spring water and smear it on your wounds; wrap with a rag for an hour or so. Once the swelling starts receding you can use gentle heat as well.

Look online for recommended herbs. Comfrey is a standard herb for healing.

Best wishes for a quick recovery!

Manuka honey!!  Internally AND applied to the healing wound.  Honey has amazing healing properties.  Any honey will work well, but manuka is, imo, the BEST.  You can buy it on Amazon.

Also, try taking arnica, internally, to help with the pain and swelling.  It's great to apply to the area, as well.  You can buy it at any good health food store or on Amazon.
