quick help needed--Radian 80 harness buckle location

My dd is exactly 30 lbs.  It says for 5-30 lbs the harness buckle can be directly above or forward of its buckle slot.  For children over 30 lbs you must always use the most forward buckle location.  So, as I said, dd is exactly 30 lbs.  We are doing all our carseat shuffling today as I am 40wks pg.  We are trying to decide which buckle location to use.  She is not in diapers so in the forward most slot the harness buckle angles back pretty sharply, but it seems like that is the most appropriate slot for her considering her weight.  Should we put it in the forward most slot and then just roll up a diaper to make up the gap?  Or what should we do?  She is still rear facing.  Quick response would be great as I need to leave for the airport soon.  Thanks!

I know some people have contacted Diono and asked about that, and they've just said "Most kids over 30 lbs need the outermost slot for comfort, but any slot is fine."
