Preschooler Transitioning Potty Issue

Thread Starter
We have a 3 year old who has had chronic constipation despite our best efforts. She is on miralax everyday, and the dosage is VERY difficult to control. She started preschool 3x week last week and had poop accidents 2/3 days greensad.gif She has been self potty trained solidly for approx 6 months, but miralax does challenge her now and then, as it would anyone. She thrives at school, it's a Japanese immersion program, and she seems to enjoy it so much that she wants to go on her days off. Intellectually she's ready for school and is very advanced for her tender little age. She's very sensitive, I'd hate to have to take her out of a school she is loving due to potty issues. Any ideas?

Cause of the constipation?

Is there a possibility of changing the time of day she takes it on school days?

Does she have a regular time to sit on the toilet in the morning? On school days it really helps. Just long enough to read a book or whatever.
