Oh no, I botched my kim chee! Help!

We were trying to make our first batch of fermented kim chee tonight, and after chopping  for hours we realized we missed a step.  We didn't salt the cabbage, let it set, an then rinse/drain.  We just threw all the ingredients in and mixed.  Is there anyway to salvage it?  It was a really huge batch.  Here's the recipe I used.  http://nourishedkitchen.com/kimchi-recipe/

I'm nt sure. The salting step is really important because it keeps non beneficial bacteria out until the lactobacillus can do their work and make things acidic enough that other things can't grow. F
