Bruise/"hickey" on aerola??

Hello ladies smile.gif Haven't been around much lately, but I have a question related to nursing 22 m/o DD and other than you all, I don't know anyone who has nursed a toddler!!

After DD and I took a nap this afternoon, I noticed I have this big circle of broken capillaries , looking like a hickey, on the top of my aerola. Due to weird nursing patterns the last few months, we only nurse on the right side now. I can't really express more than a drop from the left side (though of course we could reestablish that supply if necessary ) . So I can't really avoid nursing on the bruise or whatever it is.

It doesn't hurt .. Anyone ever had this before? Anything to be concerned about?? TIA!

Its a hicky, but it should be fine to nurse.  Just change his position to keep him from hitting that spot directly and it will go away in a few days.  If it hurts more than a normal bruise or gets worse let us know.
