could she be bored in school? thus needs more challenging work.
i think with many things its hard for them to explain why. they can feel the emotion, but they cant explain it. common and normal.
so then it becomes important for you to figure out the why.
is she a high energy child? during K and first though school was 15mins away we left an hour early and dd skipped and hopped along and we stopped at the park or did stuff so she could concentrate in class.
Meemee, I am seriously beginning to think she might be bored. Last night she went to sleep at 7.30. I woke her up at 7.00 That is about an hour to an hour and a half earlier than her usual bed time but we still had tantrums. A few days ago we went to the library. They had story time for a younger age group and there were about 2-3 kids there. Dd joined the group. She ended up reading the children's librarian's book to the group. The librarian came up to me afterwards and said dd was Wow. We just don't have the resources to test her i.q. etc right now. But, I wish I knew what was going on with her. It is a huge drain every morning.
I should add that the book was a advanced for her age although it was for an age group about 1/2 a yr younger since the librarian was going to read it.
