Homebirth Midwife Relocating to Cincinnati area

Greetings.  I'm currently practicing in Southern West Virginia, but my partner has been offered a super position with his company in the Cincinnati area.  What is the interest/demand for a homebirth midwife to be located IN the Cincinnati area.  Also, Cinci folks, hit me up with resources for homeschooling, birthing community, and other crunchy venues in the area. I need to make the decision w/i 2 weeks, so if there is interest/demand, we will come.

Most popular homebirth doctor is the Bowen Center. Dr. Bowen is my doc and does parrellel care for homebirth. He is a huge supporter of natural child birth. He has a list of midwives and doulas they recommend. He might be a great resource for you to check into.There is a very large home birth community here I believe. People come from dayton and indiana to go to him...so might be a place to start. I personally am not having a natural birth this time but I know plenty who do.

I am Catholic and plan to homeschool. There is a large Catholuc homeschool population but I am not to familiar with other faith groups. I imagine there is though. I just dont get out much lately.

OP- Have you relocated?

There is a yahoo Cincinnati Homebirth group you may be interested in. 

Also The Cincinnati Family Enrichment Center- is very crunchy and has been a hub for a number of different meetings. They're in Northside but may be relocating.
