Took the evaluation!  My daughter, not surprisingly, is musical!  That little girl loves to sing!

Already a fan of mothering, liked Oak Meadow on Facebook!

We're homeschooling our Daughters with the Oak Meadow curriculum in the Fall.  We want them to have a natural and creative education where learning can be fun!  I love the idea of tailoring education to each child's unique needs.

homeschooling is not convenient for us, it is worth it. Not having to push push push my child to deny ALL of his natural desires to talk his way through learning is reason enough. There is no room in a traditional classroom for a verbal creative learner. This first year has been difficult but Im so glad my son has some room to be himself.

I will be homeschooling my little boy for the first time this year, I've already liked both Oak Meadow and Mothering on FB. Why homeschool? Because I cannot imagine any other way of existence for our family. The freedom it allows, the family experiences that you cannot put a price on, to be the one that experiences his joy when he learns something new, instead of hearing about it second hand at the end of the day. There are too many reasons to name, why homeschool? Why not?

I am enjoying the homeschool experience with my 7 year old daughter. She is entering second grade material. We would love to use the oak Meadow curriculum for her next year!

I love mothering and have gotten much support reading articles in that magazine. Thank you!

My daughter is tie between intrapersonal and interpersonal on the evaluation

although I thought she'd be more on the musical side

she is a balanced learner :):)

I'm inspired by the tips for sustainable living but really - pushing myself to practice some of the tips for sustainable relationships.  I think we need a dose of that around here!  (Mostly right now - stop, make eye contact and listen)  Love the tips for sustainable learning!

I love those tips- so simple and yet so easy to forget at times. I especially like the 10-min bursts of cleaning. It can get overwhelming just to think about all the cleaning with 3 little ones around. 10 min burts are more easily digestable!  And the Wonder Board- GREAT idea. Love it. Will definitely be sharing!

One thing we do when we sit down for dinner together, or are returning from a day out is that we play the Highlight-Lowlight game.  We all each taking turns sharing what we liked most and what we liked least about our day at school/work or out and about.  The kids love it and now remind me when  I forget to start the game. :)
