CoBabyMaker, congrats on your boy banana.gif

BaileyB, congrats on your girl joy.gif

I had a routine appointment today with my regular OB and the babies were so close she couldn't get the 2nd heartbeat with the doppler, so she did an ultrasound. DH called just before and told me to find out the genders if they could tell. She said she wasn't 100% sure and not to buy anything yet, but she was pretty sure A is a girl and B is a boy smile.gif So I'm not calling it for sure yet, but I wanted to share! Both look great and A is still more feisty than B, but both were flipping around which they have been doing a lot of from what I can tell. They started off both head down (A on my right, B on my left), but moved around once they were being poked and prodded. Hopefully they like being head down and stay that way as they get bigger as that makes everything easier. Both looked great, strong heartbeats and it cracks me up as the OB and the nurse were having as much fun as I was looking at twins on the ultrasound.

We did our gender reveal on Christmas eve.  A friend opened the sealed envelope the u/s tech gave us and wrapped up one of the two (pink and blue) sleepers I had bought.  And we are having a GIRL!!!! I can't believe how flipping excited I am to be having a girl.  we already have a boy and another would have been awesome as well but I have to admit I really wanted a girl this time.  Big brother isn't as impressed as he wanted a boy but with a 6 year age difference they were never going to be super close anyways. Maybe more as adults but not as kids.  And while I don't strongly believe in gender stereotypes all I can think about right now is pink tutus. So darn cute!

So exciting to read everyone's gender reveals and stories! We had our 20 week ultrasound last week and they THINK it is a girl ... couldn't be sure! I have another u/s at 28 weeks so hopefully they can confirm one way or the other then ... with DS they were so sure right from 17 weeks that the uncertainty is hard for me ... but kind of fun :) ...

Has anyone ever been told they were having one sex to find out it was the other???

We're having another little boy! orngbiggrin.gif I was so sure he was a girl because this pregnancy has been so different, but my son has been telling us for a while now the baby was a boy! We asked him how he knew and he said "I heard him tell me he was a boy!" Haha! Our son found out on Christmas Eve when he opened a card and read it to everyone that he got it right and is so excited! Now we'd better get serious about baby names!

you know what.. i wonder if babys have a bit of a sixth sense with these kind of things, i remember communicating with my cousin before either of us could talk.. no idea how.. but i remember conversation.. crazy, also my niece wanted mine to be a girl..  but she looked at my tummy then suddenly said"its a boy" which is what the scan said.. :D

I totally think that kids know.  "They" say that you can even venture a good guess based on the way a child is interacting with you while pregnant.  It's pretty cool, IMO.  My nieces say that I am having a girl.  And when I bring my DS to gymnastics class, the boys are friendly and the girls are show-offish, which also "indicates" girl.  I go in for my ultrasound on the third...so we will see if everyone is right.

sweetolowmom - my aunt was told she was having a boy, and had a girl.  i'm not sure of the details though, like whether or not is was an early ultrasound and a "guess" or if it was later and they were just wrong. it does happen!

Thanks BabySmurf! I guess we'll see what they say at my 28 week u/s ... I want to know LOL!

I voted yes. This is baby #3. Finding out for DD1 was helpful for me for planning and prebonding (I was a bit freaked out about the idea most of the pregnancy- Im a work loving gal) 2nd baby, we didn't find out. It was great.  But this baby, my girls are about to turn 4 and 6, and I think it will help them plan and bond too. They are very excited about finding out. They will learn the gender next week at their bday party/gender reveal. Its girl #3 for us!!
