farmermomma- didn't mean to quote you exactly on the "omg that's hilarious"! i think that was my pregnancy brain first reading yours, having what you said in my head, and spitting it back out. teehee Sheepish.gif

No problem. Lol. All these acronyms are still funny to me anyways. Funnier that I use them and funnier still with an accidental quote. BTW still haven't figured out QWIM? But I think it means QWIM.

Pace - that is adorable! I felt the same way when my dad came home from being at the birth of my 3rd brother, I wanted a sister! I was older, but my feelings were the same. I love all 4 of my brothers dearly, and always have. I always tell my DD this story and that having a daughter made up for not having a sister many times over.

Congrats to all who have found out!

I just had my ultrasound this afternoon and my husband, his mom, my mom, my sister, and my son were all there and all super excited. The ultrasound tech. really seemed to get a kick out of us:) Apparently according to hospital policy she was not able to tell us the sex, but when she did the gender shot it was pretty obvious (to me) what I was seeing. And as soon as I saw I blurted out "Is that labia I see" and she started smiling:) I hope she doesn't play poker because she basically confirmed it then. And my entourage were all girl or boy? And she was like I can't say, but Mom (me) guessed correctly:)  Yay! I would have of course been happy either way, but I am pretty excited to have a girl:)

Had my anatomy scan today and we are having another girl! It was very obvious unlike last time the tec was only 80% sure it was a girl. I'm very happy and feel a lot less stressed about having what we need for baby as we have everything from my first. redface.gif

Midwife said heart beat range was boyish. Hmmm. I'd be okay with that.

My baby's heart rates have been the opposite of what the "old wives" say so far  redface.gif...so it's not always true.

Congrats everyone on your babies!! We just found out that it's a girl for us!

Last week my MW also said something about the heart rate and how some say it's a sign of a girl but then she brushed it off with "but that stuff's not always true".

I am convinced we have a boy, I don't know why. I just see us having a boy with this pregnancy. Maybe because DH's sis has two girls and I feel like his family is due for a boy. Even though I would love a girl. And especially love what*ever* I have. But we went for our 20 wk anatomy scan today. We told the technician we absolutely did not want to know the sex. When she told us to turn our heads so she could check out the anatomy, she said very quickly, "ok, I've got the sex" so to me that means boy parts because I was always under the impression it's easier to identify boy parts than girl parts. So the fact she said it so quickly tipped me off. But we'll see orngbiggrin.gif

Most importantly, just REALLY glad the scan went well,no Downs indicators (we chose to not do the nuchal), no cleft plate, all organs good to go, healthy heart and all. Phew.

Me too! Actually, the u/s tech thought one of ours was a girl because the heart rate was so much faster than the other two....but, no.

Yeah, I really want a girl but I want this one to be what it is.

That's how I felt too...it was a win-win situation either way.

.but I had a VERY strong feeling that this babe was a girl from the start.  The "reveal" was almost anticlimactic because I was so sure :)
