MDC families need your help this Holiday season!  The Holiday Helper team would like to meet all children's clothing needs - and we can't do it without you!

Do you have new or gently used children's clothing items that you can donate to a Family In Need

(Quick - go check your closet now!)

Or, can you join together with another member to help pay shipping for donated items?

A comprehensive list of all the items needed can be found on the Master Needs List, but if you are in a hurry, just post to the

"I Have Available" thread and the busy little Holiday Helper elves will do the matching for you!

This week we are focusing on Children's Clothing, but all donations are welcome!

Please post to the "I Have Available" thread if you have any items that you are willing to donate.

If you have any questions, please PM a member of the Holiday Helper team:

I have loads of baby boy's clothes size 0-24 months. I apologize but I don't have the time to read all the lists and contact people individually. I have made a post in the I Have Available thread, please contact me and tell me who needs what and I can get it out within a week. love.gif

Thanks PJ!  We've seen your post on IHA.

Basically we allow 48 hours from the time that a post is made on IHA, for facilitators to match available goods to registered needs.

After that time, FIN can specifically request items from your post.  I expect you will be getting some PMs soon - don't be discouraged blowkiss.gif

Bumping this up to the top! bump.gif

P.J. Your post is great. I have to admit that when was involved with HH a few years ago, I wasn't sure what to post where. So, anyone who is reading this and has clothes (or other items) to offer but isn't sure where/what to post, P.J.'s post and the others on the thread are great examples of how to post what you have available. And, of course, feel free to PM one of the HH facilitators if you have any questions or aren't sure where/what to post; we are always happy to help!

I agree HHM!  Don't be shy - any help, even one tshirt, could make a big difference!   And don't be afraid of doing it wrong - if we need more info, we will contact you!

(Okay, a few too many exclamation marks there - can you tell I'm excited?)

We're doing well!  We've met one quarter of the children's clothing needs!

So, did you all check your closets?  Cause we still have time to meet these needs before our goal of 11/30!

Thanks HHM for updating the list.  I came to do it, and it was already done.  Great minds think alike biggrinbounce.gif

Slowly, but surely we're getting there.  We could still use your help though.  love.gif  Only a couple of days until our goal....

Not long to go now...

I'm going to take this thread on a trip and I'm going to extend the date to December 1st!  Enjoy the ride!

So Thanksgiving it over and the holidays are rushing towards us!  There are less than 30 days left before those holidays are upon us.  We really need everyone's help to meet the needs of our Families in Need.  Gently used items (GUIs) are greatly welcomed and encouraged.  So if you have any clothes your children have grown out of or you see something you'd like to buy for a child, let us know, even if you don't see it on the Master Needs List, it may still help a family out!  You might want to check out The Big Thank You Thread, to see how much your help means!

It's off to parenting we go!  :)

How are you doing on kids clothes?

I have bunches of gently used baby girl clothes from size 0-24 mo.  Let me know if there are any families that could use them.

Great!  Moonstones, I'm sure there are families that could use those.  Do you mind posting to the I Have Available Thread? That way, even if a family doesn't have it listed on their needs, they may still be able to use them.  Thank you so much for helping out!

Of to preteens and teens!

If you're the parent of a teen or preteen, you have probably experienced clothes drama!  I know I have.  Maybe you'd be willing to help out and donate some clothes to an older child or maybe you've got some clothes that your kids have grown out of?  Take a look at the list above or just post what you have to the I Have Available Thread.  I'm sure it'll make someone's day!

I picked up some clothes from another family in my neighborhood and am taking a break from sorting them to bump up this thread! bump.gif

Well, it's after 12/1, but we still need to get more of these needs met, so I'm going to send the post around a bit more!
