Pregnancy induced super nose!

So my heightened sense of smell kicked in today around 4 pm. One minute everything was fine, then DD had a poo on her little potty and BAM!! I almost threw up! At bedtime I was giving DH the blanket her diaper leaked on earlier so he could toss it in the washer and I almost threw up again!! He looked at me strange, took a whiff of it and couldn't smell much of anything! DD drinks a ton of water and her pee is very diluted and light but boy, I could smell it a mile away this evening! I remember the super nose from my first pregnancy but it was later and not like this: it feels like a switch was flipped!
Has anyone else got the preggo nose thing going on yet? Anyone else with the sudden onset? How do you guys change diapers or empty potties? Boy I'm glad DD's stomach bug (with lots of vomiting) was a few weeks ago. It didn't really bother me then. I'd be a wreck seeing/hearing/smelling it now!

I have no diapers or potties to deal with though cooking smells are very much a problem. Food cannot be cooked in my kitchen without me having to hide upstairs until the smell dissapates. Which means I haven't cooked anything lately but a roast chicken in my crock pot and if my husband cooks I need to be LONG gone, although I think I could handle some black beans and rice.

When I am not pregnant, smell is my super power so when I am pregnant it is even more powerful. Like you, I gag and get really easily grossed out. And I am a vegetarian so any cooking meat smells just send me over the edge.

Did your own pee get stronger smelling? Mine does when I am pregnant, so I can gross myself out, too. Lol.

Lol my pee doesn't smell stronger since when pregnant I become a bottomless pit and guzzle water like crazy! Probably over 8 liters a day and I'm constantly peeing (especially later on)! I'm a carnivore but the smell of seafood makes me gag when pregnant. Shrimp is the worst offender and i can't sit across from someone if they are eating some in my presence. I can still cook (thank goodness) but handling raw chicken is getting difficult.

Coffee is devil juice to my nose. Even someone drinking it across the room makes me sick. That and other people's breath. Oh man! I can smell everyone else's breath, it's torturous cause I can't really turn away and sometimes it's if they are simply in the same car as me. And don't get me started on tobacco and colognes. Ick. Ick. Ick. I don't think I'm fit for being in public for awhile.

I am overwhelmed by the smell of my own bodily fluids, strong smelling. Its like i sit down to have a poo and i can smell it coming so the whole time i am like exhaling from my nose. Its just too strong and i have heard it gets stronger. Anyone have a bidet? I think.i may need to seriously consider this, that way i can "shower" on the toilet and only shower to wash hair. I think it will save time. I was going to try and make my own hook up from the shower but it sounded messier than a more hands free style. I never really found one in my price range yet, but i was thinking warm.water is very important. I am putting it on my list again.

For me it's the fridge. It happens every pregnancy. My fridge smells so gross. My poor husband has to get things for me because I can't handle it. Yuck.

Right now, it's the diaper pail. We've been having trouble with ammonia and whew! when I dumped the diapers in the wash last night it seemed like the smell had quadrupled overnight. I know it didn't really, but man, it sure was stinky!

For me it is everything. lol. When I walk into a store I feel like I can smell the cologne on people. My dog also stinks! I feel so bad, I don't want to pet her and I know she really doesn't smell... or customers at work. I can smell what they ate, if they brushed their teeth etc. So bad !
