Alternatives for food storage

We're working hard to eliminate plastic bags and wrap in our household for food storage. We recycle glass jars and use these for some food storage.

What are some non-plastic things you use to store food? I've read muslin can work for fruit.

There are some nice stainless steel containers available. They don't break like glass and they are lighter. And stainless steel is non-reactive.

We use Reusies (reusable cloth baggies) for sandwiches and snack items in lunches.  To stop using plastic wrap, we cover containers with a plate.  It's nice because you can then stack on top of the plate.
