Should a bathmat be washed in the washing machine?

Our bathmat needs a good wash and my scrubbing isn't cleaning it well enough.

Or maybe use one of those power hoses on it?

Whats it made of?

I wash mine in the washer.....they are the usual high "carpeted" ones with rubber on the back. I put the agitation down to a delicate cycle and hang to dry. THen I put them in the dryer for 10minutes to fluff them up a bit.

ooh, I'm excited because it does sound like i can wash it! It is the rubber type with the suctions on the bottom.

My baking soda scrubs just don't get it that clean and I'd like to use very hot water in the machine this time.

you can bleach them if you dont mine them being a little stained from the bleach

I wash mine all the time, cold water and gentle cycle but once in a while I wash them on warm to kill germs. And I put them in the dryer on low heat to fluff them back up.

Side note, I even bought a nylon shower curtain so I could just wash it in the machine, I've had the same one forever!

I tried it yesterday and : the little rubber feetie things got stuck on the side holes and unbalanced the load. Also, ripped some off.

Hmm...some great success and some with bummer. Now it is fraught with risk, how exciting!

My dishwasher broke last week and we won't have a new one installed for some time so I need to get that machine-wash fix somehow.

I wash mine with the towel load and I haven't had any problems.

I wash mine on hot with towels. No suction cups though. Hang to dry.

I like to turn mine so the suction feet are facing me and I use a scrub brush and clean with bleach. Then I let it sit for a little bit and then I throw it in the washing machine w/ bath towels in Warm Water. Then I hang dry it on the laundry line. I have never had a problem with it sticking to the washing machine.
