I tried to post last night, but my phone ate what I wrote, so I gave up :). I was feeling totally sluggish and just trying to get through one or two things at a time and not worry too much, but yesterday and especially today, I have had an unbelievable energy surge. I cleaned this place like it's never been cleaned before! I'm super excited that it feels so wonderfully cozy and clean now!

I have never lived somewhere with such hard water until we moved here, and I immediately started ruining all of our clothes. My homemade detergent totally was not working, and all whites were turning grey in one or two washes. I looked it up and came across Rockin Green Hard Rock detergent, and I just bought some a couple days ago. Tried it out today, and it worked fantastically!! So now I've got all the new baby clothes washing :).

I'm really only a few things shy of totally ready, and I'm not feeling worried about what's left. My biggest accomplishments, in terms of the burden I felt to complete them, were making diaper covers and making mama cloth. I made enough small covers, so now I'll just try to make bigger sizes so I won't need to after baby is here.

So here is my updated list:

To Make:

Diaper Covers- four small fleece, one small PUL

Mama Cloth

DH's Christmas present!

Diaper Covers- one Texas A&M small, one PUL monkey small (if there is time: two PUL mediums, two fleece mediums, one Texas A&M medium)

2 Wet Bags- one for going out, one for house

Baby Book for new baby

Finish baby book for Samantha- print pictures, write letter

Wipes Solution- find recipe, buy mister

To Clean/Organize:

Move printer/set up in living room

Clean out Fridge

Clean bathroom rug

Handwash Samantha's new clothes

Set up sewing machine

Unpack the rest of DH's stuff

Organize master closet

Organize bedroom (especially desk/dresser)

Declutter kitchen counter

Get files in order (get DH to fix filing cabinet)

Wash clothes for new baby

Wash quilt on dryer

Have list for hospital bag handy to pack quickly

Cover bed with clean sheets/shower liner/more clean sheets

Set up diaper station area- waiting for plastic drawers, etc.

To Buy/Errands:

Get Groceries

Buy washable dog diapers- return disposables (dog in heat)

Get dogs' nails clipped

Buy Carseat (thanks, in-laws!)

Buy birthday gift for DH

Buy Christmas gifts

Buy new baby's things- diapers, cloth safe diaper cream, baby shampoo – Mom will be buying

Get plastic drawers for new baby's clothes/blankets

Buy more supportive nursing bra

Buy pail for mama cloth

Buy new camera charger

Miscellaneous Tasks:

Get as much glitter as possible off Samantha's new dress

Facetime grandparents with Sam wearing new dress

Email breeder about Ladybird

Print patterns for cloth diapers

Write letter to California

Mail letter to California

Cancel phone lines with Verizon-- tried; too early, switched device instead

Get Tricare referral

Call property manager?? (ask DH)

Pay bills

Create birth plan before next appointment

Return Ladybird to breeder

Name the baby!

Visit director of women's services/ tour hospital

Sign property management lease agreement, scan, send

Register cars in Texas

Install Carseat properly

Finish reading Emergency Childbirth Manual to DH

Wow, good job!  I didn't get around to anything extra last night.  Guess I'll play catch up this weekend.  Work gets in the way, LOL.

Updated list I got a lot done and I am realizing that some of the stuff I thought I would be able to buy will have to wait.  i just found out my fav used baby store is havign a 40% off sale on Wed so I will be able to get more diapers and possibly some other stuff.

To buy or make:

bravado tank top

wipe warmer

more cloth dipes

more mama pads(i like the happy heinys brand)

baby seat or swing

amber necklace

more capsules for my placenta

geranium and lavender oil

a cabbage for breasts after 

some comfrey butt gel or balm

To do:

-Keep kitchen clean and organized(staying on top of fridge)

-Freezing some cooked beans, some broth, some bread, chili, some muffins maybe(we ate all the stuff I had stocked so I just need to keep going!)

-come up with some kind of gift for brother and sister to keep them busy(baskets maybe)

-Figure out jobs for all the ladies that may come to help(cooking, childcare,flower getting, picture taking, keeping water boiling for the tub, doula-ing)

-christmas!?  figure out how to not spend a ton with out trying to make too much ugg!

-Organize my office I will be working lightly from home after baby is born

-get new tags for car and get car into shop

-get wic appt set up

-find them all a new peditrician

-stock pantry with easy kid friendly snacks

-get my hair cut and get in to acupuncture(seems like a luxury at this point)

-keep up with daily mayan massage, exercises and ball sitting(figure out if baby is in good position and then work towards that)

Ugh, I just discovered that my new Lansinoh manual breast pump and new Dr. Brown's glass bottles are gone.  I had washed, air dried, and double bagged them in grocery sacks so they would be ready to use.  You know, trying to get ahead.  I'm pretty sure DH accidentally took them out with the garbage.  I just want to cry.  The bottles were a shower gift, and the pump was bought with a gift card from my shower.  We can't replace them for awhile.

So I'm adding those to my "to buy" list.

Oh, man.  I need my brain back!!!  I just packed my hospital bag last week.  Apparently I thought my milk would come in while in the hospital and that I would need to pump AND bottle feed while still in the hospital.  Yep, they were in my hospital bag!

I'm pretty much ready for baby now. The only things left are not too important, so I'm feeling better. My MIL has been here and is doing lots of cleaning and cooking, so if I had the baby right now, there would be no panic. Yay!

No, they didn't!  Whew!!!

I'm with you on the list.  What is left is stuff that can be done later, probably while I'm on leave.  I am 100% ready when she is!

I was kind of hoping to meet her today, actually.  (My sons were both born on Sundays, and so were my 2 nephews.)  But now that I pretty much know she will NOT be here in 2012, I am in no hurry!  I feel fine physically, though my hips are starting to hurt.  Next Sunday would be perfect!  But that's still 1 or 2 days early, so.... whenever!  The more I think about it, the more I am willing to wait.  Each day of waiting is one more day into 2013 that I will be on maternity leave and get to spend with her.  I plan to work until she arrives.

Sounds good- I am trying my best not to be anxious. Having mothers come into town just in case I go in to labor (since we don't know anyone who can watch our daughter) has really amped up the pressure for me. I'm so tired of being asked how I feel... It sounds like you're got a good handle on everything- I sure hope the wait is an easy one for both of us!!

Oh yes- the cooking and cleaning is great! I just wish I could relax better when we have company. Tiny apartments make that hard for me- there's no escape! But, yes, No complaints about cooking and cleaning :-D.

That question gets on my nerves, too!  I know they mean well, but I hate being asked how I feel.  I'm really hoping this is my last week at work so I don't have to hear it anymore, lol.

It is a lot of pressure when people start coming in.  That happened with my last, because I had prodromal labor that landed me in the hospital.  He was born 2 days later late Sunday afternoon, thankfully before everyone left!

I hate that question too. Usually asked in a 'poor baby' voice. Today at church I also got a few 'you look so tired' and 'you look ready to pop!' Grrrrr
