Bleeding and cramping?

I am trying not to think the worst, but yesterday I started bleeding. I also have light cramping. greensad.gif anyone experience this and go on to a healthy pregnancy? It's the fact that there is cramping too that really worries me. I have an ultrasound scheduled today to check things, but I'm pretty early to definitely see a heartbeat. I'm six weeks one day. I also have pretty bad morning sickness, which is reassuring, but also annoying if this pregnancy ends.

I know several women who have, mama, so try and stay positive, although I know it can be so hard when you are worried. I hope your u/s goes well and you get great news today.

Thinking of you!

A friend of mine bled throughout her first trimester and had a healthy baby. I'm not sure if she had cramping too. I do get light cramps from time to time and so far things seem just fine. Try not to think the worst at this point. It could just be that you're having a difficult time in early pregnancy. Big hugs and good thoughts!

The ultrasound went well! So far we have a healthy bean with a heartbeat! I have a subchorionic hematoma, which is responsible for the bleeding and cramping. I had one with my son, too, so I know all about them, only i didn't bleed last time. Anyway, I am not sure why I didn't think of it! So, good news, although an SCH can cause miscarriage, so I'm not totally out of the woods yet.

Thank you ladies for your support and well wishes! I wasn't finding much good news on google. smile.gif

Well, they can cause problems for a while but usually go away by the 20 week scan.

Looking for reassuring thoughts..

I'm about 6 weeks and have not been very active lately. Yesterday I went on a good hour long walk ( up hill ) with a friend. Came home and when I went to the bathroom and wiped there was the faintest pink smear of the tp paper. I mean it was really faint, not blood. Took it easy and through the rest of the night/day there was only a few times when I wiped and it just looked like brownish discharge. I can't even call it blood. I've had cramping the whole time so far, since I found out I was pregnant and I kinda blamed that on my nursing 3 yr old. I know there is nothing anyone can do at this time. Just wait and see. I know this can be super normal too, but as I've miscarried before it breaks my heart.

I've spotted with several of my pregnancies and haven't had any issues. Since it was such a tiny amount and already changed to brown, I'd be willing to bet it's nothing to worry about. Hugs mama! Although, I've been fortunate enough to not miscarry, my mom had 10, so I've always been a bit paranoid for the first trimester.
