Yay MamaB! I'm sure that feels like a relief!

Chica - so glad you are getting settled. It really does make a huge mental difference to look around YOUR space and say 'yes, my baby will be born right about there...' And how great to be able to nest by organizing a new, clean space. I'm getting rather tired of cleaning the same crap, lol...

Had another night of wonderful, intense contractions 2 nights ago - barely slept - they waned some overnight but kept me up enough I was exhausted yesterday. Got in a nap & a date with DP (we weren't sure if our last date would be our last!). Today, there is a huge pressure system coming through & I can feel it in my cervix, lol. Doesn't feel like anything that would bring a baby, but who knows at this point...

Mama Blessing is tomorrow, I would love to go to that, then come home & go into labor ;) But I've still got my money on the 4th.

Hi ladies!

Lots of yays going on!!  Kate- I'm so happy for your placenta news! Chica- I'm so glad you get to properly nest in your new place! Mamabeakley- yay for that negative gbs!!

It looks like everything is getting lined up for us all to have babies!

Jen, I think you and I are on the same broken record of prodromal labor! It's been two weeks of this stuff!!

Last night contractions were waking me up, they were so intense. I've also been loosing a ton mucus since about 11pm last night. With my previous pregnancies, that was a pretty good sign that I didn't have much longer. I'm really glad that the contractions are slowing down right now though, because for about a week there, I was having  them in bouts of 4 hours and they were coming every 2 minutes. Right now, I haven't really been timing them, but I'd say I'm getting just a few an hour. They are totally taking my breath away and I can feel them pulling my cervix forward. I'm hopeful this baby will come over the weekend, but keep reminding myself that it might not be for another two weeks, too! I'll be 40 weeks either Monday or Wednesday, depending on what "due date" I go by.

My water might be leaking . . . or not!  I'm crampy, too.  We shall see . . ..

Oooohhhhhh MamaBeakley!!!!!!!! Exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So exciting Mamas!!! I'm "due" (according to lmp) on the 30th, so will likely have a lot of watching to do before my lo is born - so exciting seeing how far we've all come - and how close we are!!

Natalie - very exciting, I will definitely keep you in my thoughts!

MamaB - many positive labor vibes coming your way, too!!!

I'm hoping no baby for the weekend, as DP's kids are here, and their mom has said she would come get them if needed but is also famous for getting very pissy & not doing what she said. I ove them all but do NOT want them at the birth- especially the 2 year old who still needs a ton of attention from daddy!

Yay tropicana! ELVs! biggrinbounce.gif

Ugh. I posted 4 hours ago and there is just not much going on. Bloody show and I emptied my bowels a couple times. I have had very inconsistent, short  crampy contractions  (maybe every 5-10 minutes) that feel worse when I lay down so I am up on my birth ball now. I tried resting but really only dozed off for about 1/2 an hour. This is so different than my other labors. It is 4 a.m. now so I am guessing everyone in my house will be awake before baby is born..... redface.gif

Yay, Tropicana!  Not me 2whistle.gif  Either I was wrong about the leak, or it's stopped, and I'm not very crampy anymore either.  On the plus side, I had a really good night's sleep (I mean, I woke up all the time, but I stayed in bed for 10.5 hours, which I haven't been able to do lately, and I'm sure that has to be good for me :-)  I guess baby just isn't ready yet, and that is fine.

Segolily, I hope your baby waits until you're ready!

Purposeful, I hope you're doing well today!

So I did fall back to sleep for a couple hours. I think I was sleeping through some of the action but about twice an hour I would get a strong one that would startle me awake and make it hard to go back to sleep. I am still leaking and having pink mucous. More trips to the bathroom too (which is making DH so happy....for some reason he was seriously concerned about the poop issue during labor even though I have never pooped in labor)! lol.gif

I would love to go downstairs now and just kind of have breakfast and putter around my house and have a "normal" morning. However, my MIL is here and I really love her but I really don't want to go through the 20 questions routine with her. She knows what is going on because my water broke right in front of her last night...there was really no keeping it from her. orngbiggrin.gif I went down at 4:00 this morning to get a drink and she came up asking if I was having contractions yet....ooy, really!? I know she just cares but....rolleyes.gif

Ladies, I feel pretty calm about this whole thing and know baby will come when ready. I still feel very comfortable with our UC plans. However, when DH came home last night after my water broke he said "we aren't risking an infection, you need to have this baby in the next 24 hours....we are going in to see the MW if it hasn't happened".....like I really need that kind of timeline hanging over me. shake.gif

Just remember - if nothing goes IN and all that fluid is coming OUT - it's actually pretty hard for an infection to get going.

Thinking of you, Tropicana.

Tropicana--I have had premonitions of water breaking being the start of labor this time {cause I think this baby is a giant} and I have made up my mind that I would not be on a time clock--meaning I will not be calling my MW to tell her my water broke until labor starts also. The whole time clock for birth after water ruptures is non sense to me--you aren't in an infectious place {hospital} and nothing is going inside of you {hands} so your body will protect your babe, IMO, until it is time.

Thanks ladies! I totally agree about the no risk of infection thing. Luckily while I was sleeping this morning it seems that DH did his own little google search and he was telling his mom this morning how if your water breaks and you go to the hospital it just starts a long list of unnecessary interventions....hmmm, someone sure changed his tune! 2whistle.gif

Things have picked up to every 15 minutes which is a good sign. They aren't very long but are stronger now. More trips to the bathroom and still leaking a lot. I am going to get dressed and we are going for a family walk in a few minutes. It is a beautiful 56 degrees today. So much for my snowy day December baby! smile.gif

Wonderful news, Tropicana! Sending good thoughts to you today & looking forward to hearing more good news!!

Ooh, so exciting! Can't believe how December 1st seems to have triggered labor for so many! esp831 posted on the Facwbook group saying that her water broke and contractions have started!!
