How are you feeling? « Back to Group Discussions

Just wondering how all the other ladies are feeling. I'm less exhausted than I have been in the last several weeks. I'm 12 weeks Tuesday and VERY anxious to reach the second trimester. Laying on my back in bed a couple nights ago, I felt the LO rolling around - I know it's early, but there's no other feeling like that. It was very reassuring!

Oh wow! That's amazing!   Glad you are feeling less exhausted, too.

I am now 10 weeks. I am still quite fatigued but my nausea seems to be lessening.  I have some good days interspersed w/ my bad yucky days.  I think I overdo it on my good days and get very exhausted.  I still have some food aversions but I am able to get some healthier food options down my hatch now that I'm feeling a little better.  Today I ate some cabbage/cole slaw.  Yesterday I ate on some grapes and apples.  The day before that I ate a slice of fritatta - egg, spinach, mushroom, onion, green pepper.  It felt really good to eat well - certainly better than toaster strudels and kitkats!

12 weeks on Thursday and feeling soooooooo much better! I can't even tell you how relieved I am to feel a little bit more like my normal self! Still on exercise restriction and totally itching to get back into the gym (especially before I change my mind and/or get so big that it's uncomfortable to work out!) But seriously, after almost 2 straight months of severe morning sickness, I couldn't be more grateful for my health.

My belly is cute and definitely there - it happened out of the blue! Have our NT ultrasound on Friday and SO excited to see our little one.

I've had moments where I thought I felt something - actually stopped and thought, "Was that the baby?" - but I just can't tell for sure yet. Can't WAIT for those certain movements!

Decided to do an elective ultrasound for family right after Christmas - they told us they could determine gender at that appointment, too! I'm skeptical, as I'll only be 16 weeks...but we'll see. Their 'guarantee' that they can determine gender doesn't mean they're right! It just means they'll tell you something. :P

Hope you are all on your way to healthier, happier days - this first trimester stuff is awful!

If you get a "NUB" shot at your NT scan from a profile view I can tell you the gender, mama :)

Glad you're feeling better, too, Spotty. I'm so thankful to be mostly over the MS! And the passing out at 8:30 every night was getting really old.

Wow, SweetMama! That would be awesome if they could tell that soon! They have a 50% chance, right?? ;) I have to wait until 20 weeks (Jan 21). Drinking all that water is the absolute WORST**

I'm feeling (have been since 12 weeks) much better than before. I'm 14 weeks on Mon. & the nap I can take or leave. This is our first official year homeschooling & we've gotten a lot more social so the energy is very welcome. Also I personally think I look huge. I've never had a belly look so pronounced so early & I'm not gaining weight though I am now eating everything in sight. My mother, mother-in-law, & older neighbor have all had dreams about me having twins & they've got me spooked. I had already turned down the ultrasound, now I'm wondering.

Voon...my belly is huge despite having even lost weight...and only 1 baby in me. So, maybe you're good Or would you love twins? (I wanted this pregnancy to be twins so badly!)

Tenk....that would be awesome! I'll try to be brave and ask for that shot, but the us techs are often intimidating to me...not sure why!

Yay, happy transitioning to second trimester! I am 14 weeks on Thursday (OMG, where did the time go!?).  I have actually felt pretty okay the entire time, but I am still bleeding if I overdo the housework or go for a walk.  Really hoping that doesn't indicate a rough time ahead.  My belly is popping, and I have felt LO move around a bit, too, so overall I am feeling pretty good about this pregnancy...it's getting a lot more real, that's for sure!

SweetMama, I hope you get a good view! That would be so exciting to know! I am so impatient already about it, but we don't go in for another ultrasound until about 20 weeks....which really isn't all that far away anymore! For me "knowing" the sex really helps me bond...although I have known people where they got the sex wrong, so unless it's a really clear picture, I won't really believe it ;)

My worst weeks were 5-7. I started feeling so much better around week 11. Now at almost 13 weeks, I have some amazing, high energy days and some very blah days. But the gagging at the thought of food is over, and the nausea is only occasional. So happy we got through that!

I had to stop doing my morning walk for a few weeks because it would wipe me out for hours afterwards, but now I've been back to it for a while. It is so good for my mood and my general well being. I love to have the early morning sunlight flash into my face. I also take the time to focus on good posture and do meditations and prayers. It's lovely.

I'm glad to hear SweetMama and others who'd struggled are feeling better. I hope all of us are feeling great soon!

I'm the same way as far as bonding goes. I love being able to try and picture things as specifically as possible - and being able to buy a few little outfits or get started on gear. I'm skeptical about finding out at the elective u/s place at 16 weeks - but I suppose if they get a very clear picture that I trust, I can take their word for it! I'll really believe it at the 20 week scan, though. :) Still excited about all the possibilties!

Yesterday was ridiculous - it felt like I napped all day long! My 3 yo took advantage of the time with Daddy though, so it was good

I'm with you 20-week scan ladies - I'd be pretty bummed if I got one gender then found out it was the other! We already have names either way though, so we're just waiting for the word.

Next appointment is Dec 17 - I have to do the 3-hour glucose test - damn it.

You mamas with bellies are lucky! I'm pretty chubby so I don't notice being any rounder

I will be 12 weeks on Thursday and I am feeling much better.  Yesterday I was truly uncomfortable.  It seems Im worse at night for some reason. I swear I felt like my uterus expanded over night or something. Im not really showing yet and have not gained any weight.  Hoping to hear a heart beat at my first appt. on Wednesday.  With my past pregnancies I never thought that there might not be a live baby or blighted ovum, but after reading so many things online I think Im stressing a bit.  That and I really don't think I have felt any movement. 

Hooray for the coming 2nd trimester!

I hate to say it, but I turned 12 weeks yesterday and I've actually felt the worst during this past week then I've felt thus far. I'm super disappointed because I was so hopeful that by now I'd be feeling better!! I seem to remember our midwives saying that for some women MS peaks during weeks 10 - 14 because that is when the placenta forms. Once that process is complete MS usually dissipates. So.... that's what I'm praying for because I'm seriously done with this MS crap! :P

Google is the enemy!!! Most people don't feel movement yet.  I have had some minor issues this pregnancy, and I found that google just adds stress that you don't need.  Be happy in the moment because of what IS, don't be stressed about what might be :)

I started feeling better in some ways at 9 weeks.  My digestion is better and my headaches went away.  I am still bloated and tired though.  I have good days and bad days.  I've been getting emotional lately.  I started crying 3 days in a row.  I felt kind of ridiculous, but I know it's normal.  I still feel like I need to eat all the time or I feel sick.  I can't eat very big meals but that's ok.  I am still having gagging issues and that's not fun.  I get scared to take my vitamins and medicine.  I'm looking forward to 12 weeks when I can stop taking my progesterone and metformin.  I can't see that my uterus has gotten bigger, but it seems like I can feel it moving when I roll over at night.  It's weird.

I just yesterday started feeling better. I am somewhere in 13 weeks. Last night was the first time in a very long time that I wasn't super nauseated and having a major headache. I even stayed up till 10:30 lol. The other night my husband made a comment  about me being in bed at 8:30, (it made him feel like he is old). Whatever. But today  my energy level is much higher and I can actually eat a salad. I can't wait to get off the carbs, I need to keep my weight down. I may even have the energy to get back to walking. 

Glad we are making it past that yucky first trimester.

Oh yes! I hear you on the carbs. Egads! They sure go down easy right now while I feel crummy. I can't wait to eat healthier like I was pre-pregs.

I've been feeling much better in the last week or so as well. I'm just over 11 weeks. I'm still hitting the sheets every night along with my five year old but not feeling nauseated (much) and having the occ energy boost! I actually feel like exercising a little, not that I've gotten to it lol.

Well, my suspicions were correct. At yesterday's appt. my MW did not find a HB. She sent me to get a sonogram which showed the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. This is my first MC and its hard

I still don't feel any different but hopefully things will start moving along soon.

I enjoyed my time here with you ladies and I wish you all the best, a healthy nine months and sweet baby to hold in the end.
