33 weeker, now 4 months, not eating

dd was born July 21 at 33 weeks 3 days.  She was in NICU for 25 days.  Her weight gain was excellent until about a month ago.  It was like a switch was flipped.  She was suddenly fussy, crying, inconsolable and went from 3-5 oz of expressed breastmilk every 4 hours to about 1.5-2 oz most feeds.  She was 9lb 12 oz the end of Sept at her Dr. appt.  Dh weighed her yesterday she was 9lbs 1 oz.  We took her to the Dr. on Halloween and she weighed 9lb 8 oz then.  She is still having wet/poopy diapers, but not as often as before all this began.  We took her to the Dr on 10/31 and everything looked okay, they didn't really have any answers.  She spits up alot of what she eats.  At first we thought she might be teething, maybe colic.  I've cut out dairy and corn in my diet.  Nothing really seems to be helping.

What about reflux?  Have you looked in to that at all?  It is really common in preemies.

Agree with liberal chick that it seems like reflux is the first thing you might suspect.  Can you get a referral to a doc with more preemie experience/or are you part of a NICU follow-up program?  Considering that she isn't gaining that well and is acting unhappy and possibly in pain, it seems like your current doctor should be more proactive about figuring out the problem.

Dd is in the PICU. She is really dehydrated, low sodium, and lost a pound and a half.  They have given her IV fluids and got her sodium level up only to have it drop again.  I consented to giving her some formula so they could keep better track of calories etc and she wouldn't take it at all.  We still don't have any answers.
