I just asked my OBGYN about it today and he grinned and said it was indeed very normal when the baby's head is low to have nerves firing off like this. My hubby cracks up when I get my very surprised expression all of a sudden. :)

this morning/last night was the first time i have experienced crappy, awful hip pain that went down to my knees. is this baby's way of preparing me for lack of sleep? because i can be prepared without the pain, i promise.

Bleh, doesn't it suck? I have to be super careful about what parts of my body I employ to turn over in bed or get up. If I use inner thigh I'm in searing pain.

I tried to get the blankets out from under me the other night by jutting my hips forward while laying down... that's a mistake I'll only make once.

sometimes when i first wake up i absentmindedly stretch out my legs without thinking and am rudely confronted with AWFUL ligament (i assume) pains in my groin/pelvis that make me gasp. they go away after a minute, but dang does it hurt BAD in that minute.

also i wake up with my hands feeling what i imagine arthritis to feel like. googling tells me this is due to a one-two punch of swelling and loosening joints and yes, many describe it as feeling exactly like arthritis. oof.

oh well, better my hands swell than my feet, honestly.

When I wake up my legs feel really arthritic. I definitely hobble down the stairs. Tiger Balm seems to help when it's really bad. Have you tried that?

i do get swollen and achy hot hands at this point in pregnancy.  it's never been a problem, but feels like arthritis and makes me grumpy.  feet and ankles are always fine, but the hands are no fun.

LOL!!!  i was hanging out w/ hubby and did some leg-raises to show off my new socks, and then said 'wow, i can do these?'  and did a few more......  BAD MISTAKE.  hobbled sadly around aching terribly afterwards- turns out i can do them, but with serious consequences!!!

o.k. I hope this isn't too graphic for anyone.  STRETCH MARKS.  My entire belly is a rippling river of stretch marks.  I got ZERO stretch marks with my first pregnancy, but twins are a whole different ball game.  That's my belly button down at the bottom - there's even more below there.  I couldn't bear to include my entire belly button in the photo either - it looks like a purple/red internal organ or something.  Luckily I can't see it anymore without looking in the mirror, because it distresses me a little.

not too graphic at all, just what's happening.  i've had at least 2 friends whose bellies stretched like that on their first (singleton) pregnancy.  and though they are a bit self-conscious, their bodies really recovered AMAZINGLY!

blessings and may many lush creams that make that belly feel heavenly be on this lovely home!

Your belly looks better than mine! Many of my stretchmarks are deep, wide and purple. You look lovely, Mama!

Random throwing up episode today. I'm hoping this is a pregnancy thing and not a flu. Anyone else have MS come back at all?

Major nausea for me today in the car.  Was looking all over inside the car for a plastic bag or something just in case but, thankfully, didn't need it.

I was also having some gut issues but also had some anxiety going on (getting DH to the airport on time, very early this morning, and I always worry when we have somewhere to be that we CAN'T be late for).

Anyway, I am pretty sure all that was anxiety for me, and not MS.  Hope it's not a bug for you!!

I've had a few touches of nausea again the past several days too.

My belly also is covered in stretch marks, and even more so than yours BB! ;) I got them bad with my first pregnancy too.. I am very short waisted (and very short in general- 5'1") and my babes have each been 9+ lbs.... With each pregnancy the stretch marks have gotten worse and worse, and yeah, my bellybutton.. don't even want to talk about that! :/ But after about a year PP it takes on a new normal and the stretch marks do fade a bit.. they are still there, and the skin is still very soft/stretchy and sort of wrinkly looking. Not pretty, but they are my "battle scars" for sure. ;) DH doesn't mind, and no one else sees it anyway!

I have also had some nausea in the evenings. Never had it in the end with my first two pregnancies! But my body seems to be a lot more sensitive to this pregnancy than the first two for whatever reason!

I have LESS THAN A MONTH until my due date! Can't believe it!!! I spent this week gathering birth supplies and baby items, getting all childcare in place for the big boys during labor, and we've been redecorating our bedroom (aka building my birth "nest") ;).... Is it weird that it is just now starting to feel real!?

Yep, I threw up Thursday night....at the movie theater. :( I haven't been sick since so I think it is just late pregnancy stomach issues.

definitely not weird at all, it took holly's babies to make me realize how close i am. finding out you're pregnant and going through the motions and excitement is one thing, but a due date is so far off. now we're all about a month away give or take, and it's super real. i haven't been afraid of birth yet, but last night i was like "we have to get the ball rolling on the perineal massage because i'm afraid for my vagina." there are little fears creeping in, and i don't know what to expect since it's my first time.

I came extremely close to throwing up and passing out on the bathroom floor yesterday during a bowel movement (tmi? lol)  It sure felt like a flu, but I think it was just a nerve issue since it passed within half an hour and I feel fine today.  Now today I feel like I'm getting punched (or kicked not sure but I think she is still head down....) in the cervix repeatedly... its very low and it does NOT feel good at all.  Stop it baby!

Oh and I've developed a lot of stretch marks suddenly on my lower belly - just in the past two weeks or so!
