update from FIN#1
after opening presents this morning, i figured i should come and update my thank yous
to the sherman family- i didnt realize until i was wrapping presents that so much of what was sent to us was from your family. you guys are angels (and not just to us, ive seen your name in other posts :) ) ds loves the jammies- hed seen the bear brushing teeth ones somewhere before, and wanted them, so i used them for his christmas jammies that he opened last night, and he was thrilled. he likes the dinosaur ones too, and will be wearing them tonight. i LOVE the clothes that you sent me. they are so pretty and soft. i wore one of the sweaters today, and i cant wait to wear the skirt to church. on that note, ds is loving his church shoes as well. the gifts you sent for him were santa gifts, and they were way cool. that serpent thing crawls when you push the button. it was tormenting his pirates all day. it freaks the dog out too :)
to the family that sent the game- Operation was a huge hit. its changed since i was a kid, but ds loved playing it, and is actually asking to play it again right now. thanks!
to the helper who sent my mom the jeans- they got here yesterday, and look great. thanks!
to the family in canada who sent us the box of gifts- wow, thank you so much! the clothes for my mom were so pretty! ds loves the books, and put the candy canes right on the tree. the gingerbread house kit is awesome. he wanted one, but we werent able to get one. the set of hair stuff for me is just what i was needing, im wearing a headband right now, and i cant wait to use the spa stuff. and if there is anything else i cant remember, thank you for that too :) it seems like we just kept pulling presents out of the box.
to the helper who sent my mom the books- she is in heaven, shes been snuggled up with a book all day!
and to the helper who sent her the coat, she loves it. it'll keep her so warm this winter. thanks!
to the mama who sent me the shoes- theyre so sparkly, thank you!
to all the families who helped us, and who are helping others- thank you so much, and God bless you. i was feeling kind of blue, because as the only worker in our family, i dont usually get much- my mom can usually come up with a little something (thank you swagbucks, lol) and i give her $ to let ds buy me something, and while the love behind it is what matters, well, he is 5 after all, lol... anyway, i think ive opened more gifts today than i have in years. you gave our family a wonderful holiday. i dont have the words to say how much it means to me. all i can do is promise to pass on the love when i'm able to. i want to someday be able to go down the HH list and buy something for every family on there.
Merry Christmas :)
