What are you eating for your brain and your baby's?

Ok funny title I know.  I know after all this time of thinking about food can get old.  Recently I have been super fired up about feeding the brain(s).  I think because I am starting to want the baby to come early(super uncomfortable) and I know that a lot of babies that are born early are simply starving so I feel the need to eat super healthy so that if my baby does decide to come early I don't feel guilty...I am so weird, I swear pregnancy seriously makes me loco.  Any way as a way to counter all the craziness I have promised myself to be more active on here(lucky for you right :)

Here are things I am trying to eat more:

Tonight I am making a black bean, yam and avocado soup in leftover turkey broth

For breakfast I had yogurt with homemade granola that I made with coconut oil and walnuts(yeah)

for snack olives and pumpkin seeds

grassfed beef cooked in coconut oil(so good) with taco seasonings on nacho

fish oil( I would love salmon but can't really afford it

grassfed butter homemade bread and eggs for breakfast

goat milk chai

And starting at 36 weeks evening primose oil

Anybody got more good fat ideas for meals?

Avocados, Coconut Oil, Fish Oil, grassfed beef and butter, eggs...sounds like you're doing great! If you want to be really picky you can make sure you're consuming more omega-3s than 6's, but with grassfed meats and fats and the fish oil you should be okay (as long as you're not eating cups of nuts per day!).

Raw almonds have been helping keep heartburn at bay for me, so I've definitely been eating way more nuts than I'm used to.  I'm hoping my fish oil intake will balance it out!
