Help baby drain fluid from ears?

Just back from the ped's office and she mentioned my 9 month old son has fluid in his ears, apparently a common result of teething? She recommended some saline solution and nursing him more upright. Is there anything else I can do to help him? He is doesn't seem OVERLY bothered by it but does tug a bit at his ears.
Any ideas?

Salt sock. Heat some sea salt in a pan, then pour into a sock. Tie/rubber band it closed, then double sock it. Hold the warm salt sock under the ear that is facing down while nursing. Salt attracts water, so it should take care of it. smile.gif
