How do I reduce the negative effects from a course of antibiotics?

Hi,

I have to take antibiotics as a precaution against Lyme Disease (had a tick, now have a spot, etc).  I will be on Amox. for 21 days, 3x per day.  In order to not get too sick from the antibiotics, I bought: a big jar of unpasteurized saurkraut, unpasteurized youghurt, a bottle of fancy probiotic tablets, and some kombucha (I know, that is kind of silly).  I am also going to try to cut out sugar but not sure if I can totally kick it.

Any other advice would be most welcome.  I'm not looking forward to this and feel very stupid that I let a tick bite me.  I don't want a yeast problem...the only time that has happened was after taking antibiotics for an infection.

thank you!

Most important thing to do when you are on antibiotics is take a probiotic

PB8 is a cheap one that is comparable to the top of the line stuff.

You can get it at vitamin shop

take 2 at bedtime

other than that you should be fine with 3 weeks of amoxy

You're on the right track. Take probiotics and it'll restore you're "good" bacteria. Be sure to take the recommended dose.
