I'm pretty sure I'm having a miscarriage.  I posted in the pregnancy loss forum if you want to read details.  http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1369085/is-there-any-hope

The bleeding pretty much stopped last night and didn't end up being a huge amount. A little brown spotting overnight. No cramping. Still feeling sick and have sore nipples (I mostly notice when DS nurses).

I'm feeling much more hopeful than I was. I'm also wondering if I'm further along than I thought. I have an ultrasound at 3pm today which is for dating but for me it will be seeing if LO is okay. Not sure how long it will take for results - hopefully by tomorrow.

I had my ultrasound and it showed a fetal pole and a heartbeat.  I'm measuring 6wks + 1 day which changes my EDD to July 26-27 apparently.  It's kind of crazy because I only thought I was about 3 weeks along which really didn't make sense.  6 weeks makes a lot more sense, however, it means I've had 3 bleeds since conception - the first I thought was my period.  I don't know what's causing the bleeding but I hope to know more once I hear the ultrasound results.  At least LO is still alive at this point.  There's really nothing I can do to change anything so I guess for now I just move on with life.

So I am cautiously reassured.  And am I supposed to move to the July DDC?  I have no idea whether I'll go early or late because my history is too varied.  My first was on time (1 day early), second was 2.5 weeks early and third was 10 days late.  So I could be on time or early or late.... I have no idea!  Should I stay with y'all or move to July????

I think I will stay.  I feel at home here and there's a good chance I'll be August - you're right.  Thanks! grouphug.gif

Thanks everyone smile.gif I'm trying to be happy but I'm nervous! I won't relax until about 13 weeks I think.  At least with the change of EDD that's a bit sooner... 7 weeks to go thumb.gif

Looking on the bright side, I would be sooo happy to move up even a week or so. I am not the biggest fan of pregnancy, except the part where you get an awesome baby! Hugs to you mamaki that all continues to be well.

I am glad that everything went well with the ultrasound! Also that you decided to stay with us. And woohoo to being 3 weeks further ahead than you thought.

Yeah, I hate the first trimester. Morning sickness and tiredness suck greensad.gif So yeah, looking on the bright side, it's pretty awesome to be 3 weeks further ahead in the pregnancy. It also means my morning sickness isn't too bad for being 6.5 weeks. Although my paranoid self is thinking maybe that's not a good thing! When you have bleeding, morning sickness is reassuring!

I just wanted to update that I received the ultrasound results today.  Apparently there is a subchorionic hemmorhage - the same issue I had during my last pregnancy but DS survived that so it gives me hope!  I didn't think subchorionic bleeds started this early but apparently they do.  They also noted LO's heart rate was only 100 but that was most likely as it had only just started beating (heart starts beating at about 28 days after conception).  So most likely the heart rate will be fine but I need a repeat ultrasound 10 days after the previous one just to make sure the heart rate is okay.   I also had an HCG drawn today and will have another in 3 days to ensure levels are rising.  So overall - reassuring and encouraging news.  I still worry about bleeding - I keep waiting for the bright red bleeding to start again.  It's hard not to worry about that.  But at least I know things are as good as they could be now, all things considered.

I'm glad for your reassuring and encouraging news. =) I googled subchorionic hemmorhages, and if I understand correctly it means bleeding from between the uterus and placenta? The main danger being that if it gets bad enough it can cause the placenta to separate? Do I have that right?

Thanks smile.gif yes, you're correct. It depends on how big the hematoma is but it can cause the placenta to separate. It resolved in my last pregnancy - the last time I had bleeding was at 13 weeks but it was minor. The bigger the baby gets the better because it puts pressure against the placenta and kind of sticks it back down. I just hope this pregnancy turns out as well as my last.
