DDC Membership « Back to Group Discussions

Hi ladies. I've noticed the option to 'close' membership for these groups and that a couple DDC have done so. Is there any desire to close membership here at some point? It just means members need to be approved to join. Please discuss if this is needed and, if so, at what point.  Thanks!

I don't think I see a need for it now; it seems like everyone who's here is here with good intentions, and I think it's great to stay fully open and welcome to those who stumble upon the ddc during the second half.

Oh, I don't think that we should close our DDC at all! 

Being here is so supportive and I'm thankful to have our DDC to come to share and learn. I would hate to take the same opportunity away just because someone didn't happen to come join until later in pregnancy.

I was wondering then- isn't there a way where you can tag a specific thread to stay at the very top of a forum?  I think I've seen that on other forums; maybe if the Introductions thread was front and center it would be easier for newcomers to join in and introduce themselves.. it's probably getting lost way down on the list by now.  Not to single you out to do it, Tiffany, but you're doing a great job as a group leader!

It can be done! I had actually asked a leader of another group how they did it but never went through the steps. I just have to ask Cynthia to put it up there so I will get to it. And thank you.
