The Belly Thread!

OK, I know that some of us are entering the 2nd trimester already, and there are lots of 2nd and 3rd (and more!) time moms around here so we've gotta have some bumps showing by now. I can't be the only one!

I've been taking photos from the very beginning, before I was really showing. I know I'm not really "showing" yet, on account of I'm only 11 weeks and the baby is still pretty small. But this belly is Out There! I've only gained a couple of pounds so far (and all of that has been in the last week, over Thanksgiving!) but this belly is out of control already.

Tonight, at 11 weeks, letting it all hang out. I think it is mostly gas, and the few Thanksgiving lbs I put on. With DD I wasn't this big until maybe 17 weeks!

I want to see some more BELLIES!

You look great! Wow! I was feeling huge until I saw your pictures. ;) You've got

nowhere to hide yours though. You're tiny!

This is me today at 10w2d with baby #5!

I am definitely "bigger" at night from all of the food I stuff down my face...and the consequences of said food, lol!  I took a picture yesterday at 14 weeks.  It's funny, It doesn't look like anything here, but it's just enough to bump out by pants and shirts, so there is a more visible bump when I have my regular clothes on.  Last time I thought I popped at about 16 weeks (no body else could tell, and it wasn't until about 18 weeks that I can see a real bump it in pictures), so I guess it will be about the same this time around.

It certainly feels a lot bigger than it looks!

I am 14 weeks now, and a lot bigger this time around than with my first! I took this picture at 13 weeks! I'm not too much bigger than this picture yet. Will update when there is a noticeable difference!

It's so exciting to see all these growing bellies! Love it!

Wow!  I find this thread fascinating!  This is baby #1 and I am 11.5 weeks.  I have a bump if I get really imaginative.  I can feel my uterus - its quite firm.  But there is only the most subtle of subtle bumps right now.  But I guess that is pretty normal for a first timer.  I am a pretty small person, however, so I imagine my belly will show before too long now.  No photos yet.

Okay, it finally popped out a little.  This is more along the lines of how I felt in the other picture.  This was taken three days after the other one, so 14w3d.

I guess my stomach muscles finally just let loose!  Now I just need to grow a little more so my maternity clothes start to fit, cuz my other stuff isn't really cutting it any more.

Let's see more bumps!

What cute bellies! You are all so super skinny! Yeesh!

My bump has shrunk! Which means I was ridiculously bloated before, and that I really need to start doing core work. My MIL doesn't like that I'm running through this pregnancy because she is convinced that my uterus will fall out. Well after my 9 miler Sunday the bump has looked considerably smaller, so the running joke (no pun intended!) in my household is that MIL was right!

My belly muscles must totally give up after a day on the job and just let it all hang lose. My bump isn't obvious in the mornings, but by the end of the day it's certainly there. Wish I could just wear sweatpants all the time, but I've gotta keep my work wardrobe going for as long as I can! This past weekend I sprung for a bellaband and have been using the rubberband trick to keep my pants unbuttoned but intact.  I was skeptical about the rubberband/button set up... but so far so good and I am much more comfortable.

Huck, I'd love to hear what you think of the bellaband when you get to using it more.

I have two and I wear them almost daily now. I usually do the rubberband trick under the Bella band and it works really well. I also like that it smooths out my belly under shirts, because my belly button was kind of destroyed with dd and now that I'm expanding I hate how it creates a sort of divot under clothes (I have a strange belly button to begin with.)

In a few weeks I will probably start thinking of transitioning into maternity pants, and I use the bella band to hold up the top while the belly is growing into them. I definitely recommend it!

I really suck at getting belly shots! I love, love, love having them from my previous pregnancies...but I've only taken ONE so far this time. :( 13 weeks today - no matter how gross I feel, I WILL get a shot today when my husband gets home. I have to!

Can't wait to see it SweetMama!

I had to move to maternity clothes two weeks ago even though I've only gained a pound or two. I feel like my tummy poking out is all the chub that was already there pre-pregnancy. I can't wait to start actually looking pregnant instead of fat.

14.5 weeks me and baby Wow! Photo by big brother.

Wow, FarmerMomma - look at that baby! So cute. :)

I'm seriously lacking in this department this time. I used to love taking belly shots - I think I'm just not feeling well enough to care much. I'll probably regret it later. So....14 weeks...I HAVE to get a shot at 14 weeks!

Today before my 4 miler. Can you believe I'm only 12 weeks?!

No pictures yet, but I definitely have a baby bump now.  I am 12 weeks and now there is a clear protrusion.  Today was the first time my pants felt a bit snug, too.  And so it begins ...

UPDATE: I just bought a bellaband - I hope I like it!
