Ahaha, holy crap is right! I'm actually a little bit worried about stretch marks, if it continues at this rate of growth! I can actually FEEL it growing some nights.

I was just thinking about how much bigger I look/feel here at 16w1d.  Please excuse the finger smudged mirror LOL and the messy room.  Since I'm due July 4th I'm a bit behind the rest of you.

I know!! There is such a disconnect between what I feel like and what I look like....although it's starting to catch up!

Isnt it funny how that happens? Pre baby my stomach was one of my favorite physical features. I had a lot of residual tone from my days as a gymnast and a dancer, and when I gain weight it tends to go to my lower half and not my stomach, so I never worried about belly chub or love handles. After baby #1 I kept a small pinch of fat near my belly button, but other than that my stomach mostly went back to how it was before.

Anyhow, I had a dream last night that I was getting ready for beach weather and was excited to pick out a bikini to show off my midsection, when it hit me mid-dream that I'm large with child and won't be showing off anything but a newborn come summer time.

I'm also frequently shocked when I catch an unexpected view of myself in a mirror. I mean, I KNOW that I'm pregnant, but sometimes the mental picture I have of myself just doesn't match reality.

OMG, the other morning I woke up and glanced at myself in the mirror while I was still half asleep, and thought "what the heck is that on my stomach!?"...and then I remembered that there is a baby in there....

I tried to get some more shots but evidently her agent said she was booked for photo shoots this week.

Son has a Winged Scapula:

I'm so sorry to hijack your thread, and please forgive my direct approach. The reason for my post and indeed the membership I have taken on this site is due to post you made back in 2005 regarding Winged Scapula. I wondered if you would be as kind to share your experiences and for any advice or guidance you could spare. My 11 month old son (Harrison John Berrow) has been diagnosed by our GP and we are waiting to speak with the pediatrician, I want to ensure that we do all we can for him. Many thanks Craig

I had to share because it's just too funny...  but it does bring up an interesting phenomenon of daddy/partner-bellies!!!

I know my father tended to gain just as much (if not more) weight than my mother when she was pregnant with us, and my own husband packed on a noticeable few pounds during our first trimester! I think it was related to the fact that I was nauseated and didn't cook... so he scavenged for himself and didn't make the best decisions. Once he saw that BOTH our bellies were growing, though, he woke up and has been paying more attention to his own diet and exercise.  Only I get to wear maternity clothes. : )

That's funny!  I have definitely seen lots of men who look more pregnant than I do.  DW thinks she has gained some weight.  Work has been stressful and thinking about supporting a new member of the family adds to that stress.

Ahahah, those daddy bellies are hilarious.

I almost WISH DH would gain some sympathy weight so I could stop being so jealous! I'm only half joking. He was a runner when we met, and we ran together a lot during our first year of marriage. After DD was born and life got busier, his running has taken a back seat to his bass playing. Still, he ran a few 10ks with me despite his almost total lack of running and never has any problem keeping up with me. In fact, during our last 10k--right before I found out I was pregnant--he had just come off working an 8 hour overnight shift on his feet, ran the 10k while pushing DD in the jogger, and not only SMOKED me but won the baby jogger division! Grrrr.
