The Belly Thread! - Page 28
I actually read about it first on mothering threads and kinda semi tried it after my first, but not right away and not consistently so I wasn't terribly impressed with the results. This time I brought the wrap with me to the hospital and put it on in the recovery room. The nurse came in while I was putting it on and told me that I was doing the right thing, which was kinda unexpected but nice. And Ive really been impressed with the results!
I haven't posted, but my husband took some belly pics at 3 days pp. WOW! I can't believe where my belly went. And yes, boobz galore. Now I am 12 days pp and I am mostly back down to size, just not nearly as toned ... lots of gushy flesh! I am still ~ 10 lbs heavier than pre-pregs and I suspect 80% of that is all boobz! lol
I read about the benefits of binding & tried it the first PP day to chase the goats (not really, just the milking) & it was great. It was like a bra for my belly. Taking it off was like opening a can of biscuit dough, but no one else knew that, except for Husband. 4 weeks later, I love the results. I don't have a real binder, I use the waist cincher from my renaissance faire days & had to skip holes in the grommets for awhile until they all got through. I'm still not what I would call toned & have 20 lbs. to lose to be down to pre-pregnancy weight but if there are more babies in the future I will be binding again, this is the fastest I've ever felt good about how I look after baby.
