Dahlia- easier said than done but try not to stress too much either! Deep breaths and do something to keep your mind off of it, everything will be alright!

Mamamash I hope your daughter starts feeling better that just sounds horrible.

Pearl that's great!!!

Good luck lady elms!!

Katie I am having very similar symptoms. Waiting until AF is supposed to start before I test. I can't handle another bfn if its not real right now!

I can't wait to hear test results sparkle smile.gif

I am stuffy today and exhausted. I'm at work and totally spazzed on a really rude customer... Woops!! I'm trying to relax and not symptom spot *deep breaths*

You know what?!? I just realized that I always have EWCM at random points during my 4WW (or until I miscarry), but I don't have it any other time post-O! Interesting connection!!

Congratulations all of you on all the BFPs! I'm so happy for you all :)

AFM, I have my ultrasound tomorrow, and due for AF on Tuesday. She is seriously almost here, I feel it so bad. Lol. More bloodwork CD 3 or 4, then I can start the metformin, and see what dr says at my appt on the 16th. Thank you all for letting me hang out here with you, even though I'm not in right now. You all feel like friends/sisters *hugs*

JoyfamMama we're glad you're hanging out here too!! Good luck with everything!

jj I'm trying to keep busy :) I'm also just trying to have faith that my little bubble is ok, and that my hcg is rising as it should be regardless of the stupid stupid tests!

Joyfammama I'm so happy you are still here. What is the ultrasound looking for exactly? Sorry if you said this already. It seems to me that its a good sign you are still getting AF? Or maybe I'm just making stuff up lol.

I did take dd to urgent care. There's nothing they can do since it seems to be viral. They did a strep test just in case, which in case you were wondering is terrible awful horrible for an almost 18 month old. It came back negative. So, we just get to tough it out. I've started having some food aversions. I'm always hungry but have no appetite. Weirdest thing. So on top of this cold let the morning sickness begin 😊 haha it's ok. I welcome it with open arms.

I am a POASaholic. blush.gif: I took a nap and had a dream I got a BFP so I woke up and convinced myself that I got all these cheap tests so I could pee away. Did two (one with the dye trick) and nothing. Blech. So I'm sure I'm making up all these symptoms. This probably isn't our month. Boo. But I'll keep testing until AF shows up and we shall see.

how many dpo are you Katie? I didn't get a BFP until 14dpo with one pregnancy and I was testing everyday. It may still be too early.

Only 9. Eek. I know it may be early, but the BFN gets me down. My two pgs I actually managed to wait until 11DPO and 13 DPO and both were BFP right from the start. The only BFNs I've had were early testing in nonpg months. But you're right, totally could still happen. I just don't remember all these symptoms when I wasn't pg. but if I'm not, I'll have them recorded so they won't make me so excited next month!

Katiecornflakes you are only 9dpo hang in there girl. You will get the BFP in a couple days. But it is fun to pee on sticks. Not sure why but I am ok with waiting. I think it's becasue I have convinced myself that I am pregnant and I am enjoying the happiness. Don't want my cloud to float away

Yay Peardoodle and all the other BFP I can't keep up.

Thanks for all the well wishes on this dumb infection. ALL of my "pregnancy symptoms" are gone. no cramping, sore nipples... I am a little tired and still nauseaous. But that's it! I don't feel pregnant or feel like AF is coming the last thing I had was dull cramping for 3 days I think 5,6,7dpo or maybe it was 6,7,8,dpo. I'm gonna hold out until Wednesday because I only have 2 tests and they were expensive. The are the ones that say pregnant or not pregnant. I wonder if those are the sensitive ones?

Becky if they're the clearblue digital tests, I thiiiink that they start detecting hcg at around 50 miU's, if I remember right.

Dahlia I'm not familiar with those numbers would that be at 10dpo?

The levels of the pregnancy hormone just vary depending on how far along you are. I believe that FRER's pick up lower levels of the hormone, more like around the 25 mark. It's just test sensitivity :) The lower the level of hormone a test can pick up, the earlier you could test positive.

I'm also not sure what the average hormone level would be for a pregnant woman at 10 dpo, but I'm fairly certain it would be low

I just looked the tests are digital ept test can test 5 days before your missed period
post #654 of 788
Hmmm I think the digital are 50. The day I got my bfp I had my blood drawn and it was only 20. I highly doubt I would have got a bfp on a digital until 2 days later. No dollar store?

Countrybound I just grabbed a package at Walmart while I was out.

So totally random...I went to Costco today and had my usual piece of pizza and coke (I haven't been drinking coke but really wanted one) I noticed it tasted different. I figured it was because I haven't had coke a lot. Right now I grabbed a glass of water and thought it tasted funny too. I looked up food tasting different while pregnant and people have said that happened really really early. I'm also taking flagyl for my infection so maybe that's why stuff tastes funny? No other symptoms but my legs are achy. I don't want to poas because I know at 9dpo it will be a bfn
post #656 of 788
Ok I am starting to sound crazy....I just peed and when I wiped I noticed a little pink spot. When I say little I mean if you poked yourself with a needle and had a little pin drop of blood. So I wiped again and another pink spot as small as a paper cut. So. I guess that's either AF coming or maybe implantation??? I'm 9dpo. Last time I took fertility meds I was suppose to test on a Thursday and got AF Monday so maybe AF will be here tomorrow.

Becky I believe all the digitals, including your EPT, are only sensitive to ~50 mIu/mL. FRERs and Wondfos are sensitive to 20-25 mIu/mL For reference, at 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml. So, you would likely have to wait until 15 DPO to get a positive digital test but might get lucky and possibly see a positive before. Here's a link to stats on pregnancy tests by brand, including the sensitivity levels of each: http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/brands.php  There aren't many stats on HCG levels before 14 DPO, as before then, very few women know they are pregnant and until close to then, many women who will be pregnant might still be implanting! We (you, me and Katiecornflakes) have lots of time to still get a BFP this month. It is just hard to resist the temptation of POAS. Fx!!

Hugs MamaMash!! Strep and Flu swabs are the worst for kiddos. And I always feel worse when it turns out to be some rotten virus. I hope lots of snuggle time does the trick and she bounces back pronto!

Dahlia I'll be waiting anxiously to hear your beautiful numbers! I'd say high numbers but with all the twin talk around MamaMash, I don't want to send out those vibes winky.gif

AFM I've remained remarkable calm. I cannot believe how much I've peed today, apologies for TMI. I kept trying to hold it and was trying to get 4 hours and never made it past 2. I even restricted my water intake most of the afternoon and no coffee. Weird. My dull cramping seems to have subsided too, also noted those on 5, 6,and 7 DPO Becky!! My boobs are super tingly and sore, not typical for me. And I felt an overwhelming wave of nausea a few times today. I even thought I was going to actually be sick making peanut butter sandwiches at lunchtime (a favorite) and then as I was making pasta sauce for dinner, the garlic I was crushing made me totally gag (and I usually love garlic!!). I still feel weepy but not quite as bad today as Friday. 10 DPO tomorrow!! Cannot wait to test in the morning. I'm excited and also so scared. Really really hoping I didn't imagine that line...Sending lots of love stillheart.gif and good vibes goodvibes.gifto you all!!

Sparklemaman. Thank you so much for the info. Now I know not to be disappointed if I test on Wednesday. I may actually wait and see if AF comes. Or run the store. I just need to figure out what test to get. I don't have time to order online.

Becky If you don't mind spending a little more, the FRERs (First Response Early Result) are probably the most sensitive you can find at a local store. They are pricey, any where from $4-$8 per test, depending on where you buy them and the pack you choose. I personally don't care for the blue dye tests, they have a higher false positive rate and I generally don't find their results as easy to interpret. You can see by the list (previous link) there are lots of sensitive test and many generic or store brands are just as sensitive. Good luck!! I have a really good feeling about this month.

Thanks! I'll grab those
