I'm really scared :( My mom had low hormone levels in early pregnancy, and now my tests are showing negative. I'm panicking

There is definitely a faint pink there! I know it isn't convenient to get to your doc to get your blood work... but I really think that will give you lots of piece of mind (after your 3-5 day wait for the results WTH?!)  I am impatiently waiting my lab work... *sigh*

I have been on the phone with my (very rude and insensitive) doctor's office all morning, been hung up on by multiple labs where I have to get the blood work done, and FINALLY, mayyybe have a chance of getting an appt for one tomorrow morning. is a line still a line, even if it's followed by a negative the next day?

Oh, and I hope your wait flies by!!! that is so long to wait ugh! hug2.gif good luck! I've been sending good baby vibes your way since you got your positive!

ah, hermessgoddess that little Dopey ornament is so cute!  If I was pregnant, I wouldn't be able to contain myself with excitement. My DH would know right away! I hope your ornament comes so and you can spring the news on your DH.

Hoping for the best for you Dahlia. Fingers crossed that you get some good news. *Hugs*

Thank you! I wasn't able to get an appt today, I'm so frustrated and upset with this situation. I just woke up and feel extremely nauseous and my head is pounding. Still no period, but my bbs feel a little swollen today which is new. And yet another negative test :( I'm going to make an appt for Tuesday afternoon, as long as I can leave work early (I'm a nanny, so it can be a little difficult since the kiddo's parent's have to find a sub for me)

Thanks for the positive thoughts :)

Hermes- My fingers are still crossed for you! I can't wait to hear your good news when it becomes official after the bloodwork :)

Do you guys think that I could still be pregnant, but that my hormone levels are just fluctuating a lot if it's very early?

So, faint positive test again this afternoon.. :) I hope this is just a sign that it's early to test

Your urine hormone levels can vary depending on how diluted or concentrated your urine is. I definitely wouldn't write off a normal healthy pregnancy yet! Hopefully you can get in and get those blood tests to confirm so you can stop worrying and wondering.

Thanks, I'm going to try to get in Tuesday afternoon.. I know I'm like a broken record, but does anyone know what this could mean? When I get the faint positives, it shows up almost like 2 faint pink lines in the positive test area. I showed it to my husband yesterday and he saw it too

It's so hard to say what's going on without blood results. What brand tests are you taking? They say a positive is a positive and it doesn't matter how faint they are. A pregnancy test doesn't really tell you how pregnant you are, just that the HCG is present. Your blood HCG levels can be different from your urine levels and it's the blood levels that are the most accurate. Are you reading the pregnancy test within the window of time in the instructions? It's common to get lines that can look like a positive after the test dries. The picture you posted didn't look like an evaporation line to me but the results are only valid within the time frame in the instructions.

My own experience with a healthy pregnancy was that my tests did get darker as time went on. I got my first positive on an internet test and those never got super dark but they did get to the point that they were definitely clearly positive. The First Response tests I took started out to be so faint they were hard to see at 10dpo and ended up where the test line was darker than the control line at around 18 dpo. I did have a chemical pregnancy in the past also. That time I got a negative at 12 dpo. At 14 dpo (the day I expected my period) I just felt off so I tested again on an internet cheapie. It was very faintly positive. The next morning it was very faint but slightly darker than the evening before. I also got a super super super faint positive on a First Response. I had a blood test and my HCG was only 10...should have been much higher at that point so I knew it wasn't looking good. That night all tests were negative again and I started to spot. At my 48 hr HCG my level was 5. That doesn't sound like what's happening to you...They would be getting lighter or be negative, not staying the same.

You're an enigma :-) If your positives completely disappear I would venture to guess this is a chemical pregnancy. If it gets darker or stays the same I would definitely still have hope. I will be thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed that things work out!

Now get that blood test! :-)

Thanks, I'm just freaking out I think.

{HUGS}  still hoping for you Dahlia810!!

I also just read recently that different home tests have different sensitivity levels. Apparently it should be listed on the box (though then some people commented that there was nothing mentioned on the box, so dunno)... The lower the number, the more sensitive the test is. It is possible that your test might not be as sensitive. I wish I still had my box from the test I took last Tuesday. It was just a Rite Aid brand and i tested very faint positive. So faint that I just wrote it off... But then on Thurday I used Clear Blue Easy and my positive came up before the control, but still wasn't dark (the digital was very clear though - it said "Pregnant").

Did you get your appointment for tomororw?  And how many DPO?  I hope you can get your appointment & everything works out great for you!!!!

So, I couldn't wait until Tuesday to tell the husband... I had a few really bad morning sickness days & figured it that was going to be the norm it would be pretty hard to hind it until Tuesday...

It was his birthday on Friday, which also would have made it harder to hind since we were going out with friends. So... I went out and picked up some paint swatches from Lowes and picked up some onesies... I made 2 little birthday cards... I attached one to the paint swatches & inside of the card I asked what color he thought we should paint the nursery. The other card I attached to the onesies and inside the card told him that we may want to start stocking up on these... I put everything together as his birthday present. He cried... and then made fun of me that it wasn't a birthday present for *him*... LOL

Then we went out & I felt so nauseous for most of the night, but stuck it out with him because 1. I don't go out too often as late as he does so he was so happy I was out with him... and 2. it was his birthday....   He kept complimenting me on what a trooper I was being since he knew I wasn't feeling so great.

I told him he is getting another gift on Tuesday (his original "I'm pregnant" announcement gift).

That's awesome!! Congrats again :) So happy for you!

I have a doc appt set for thursday, assuming I can get off work ugh. The ONLY appt available this week is Thursday at 1130 am.. I've pretty much lost hope. My positives are so sporadic and faint, I feel like it's just a fluke or something. I'm really disappointed, but, maybe next month.
