Who's up next?

I'm testing on Monday too. If I don't get AF over the weekend. Fingers crossed! Peace.gif

Angelkissedkids....it has been so busy around here I haven't had time to post. Leaving for vacation this Saturday, so again I won't be here for a week!

Can't wait to come back and see a bunch of BFP's!

I started temping for the first time a week ago ( I know, too late for this cycle, but in preparation for cycles to come) and I find it fascinating.  Why didn't someone teach me all this stuff in HS?  Before I got pg at 17!

I know, I wondered too why no one ever taught me this long ago....I do remember my mom charting to avoid, but I never knew what it was or why she did it...I only put two and two together in recent years, lol! I can guarantee I'm going to be teaching my daughters about temps, charting, etc., when the time comes, as well as encouraging them to read some fertility books!!

Hi, can I join you ladies?
It's been forever since I last posted on MDC. My daughter is turning 3 this month and we are ttc after an early miscarriage in March. My DD nurses about 2-3 times in 24 hours. This is our first month really trying since the miscarriage. I feel like I've been flip-flop-ing on when to start trying for #2 forever. Now I'm ready to go! Lol I'm on cd 12.

Can you add me to waiting to ovulate? Thanks!

I think I ovulated today. I had EWCM up near the cervix, and didn't think it was quite time yet because it hadn't really made its way down, but I felt a twinge on my right side. So, I'm not sure. Even if it is a day or two from now, I'll be working 12 hour shifts and DTD is rather unlikely during that time. Saturday is the prediction from cyclespage.com based on previous months, but I tend to alternate short and long months, with this probably being a short month, so earlier would make sense.

I do wonder a bit what's up, because last month was scant on the EWCM as well.

We did our own special version of not trying not avoiding this month, so I don't have particularly high hopes. If it doesn't happen this month, we'll probably wait a few more to spread the birthdays out a bit.

Updated to here.  For some of you, I used info from your signature - please correct me if anything is wrong.

Welcome to all the newcomers.  Hopefully your stay here with us is short!

Blonhrt88, enjoy your vacation!

emily11meghan, that sure sounds like implantation bleeding.  So much for a serene 2WW!  I would be totally obsessing if I had that happen too.

ocelotmom, now I'm over there lurking too.  I can only meander through the TTC forum for so long...

And for everyone about to POAS - please update us!  Wishing you lots of BFPs!!!

AFM, I think I may have O'd yesterday or today based on CF but I'm not confident enough yet to say for sure so I'm still not ready to declare that I'm in a 2WW yet.  I feel like nursing is affecting my CF.  I had stretchy, opaque CF for a few days, then an obvious creamy 1/2 day, then a few days of wetter, clearer, stretchy EWCF, then today a tiny bit of creamy and lots of opaque stretchy CF.  I'm so confused!  I'm even more confused assessing my cervix although for the past few days I was sure I was SHOW.  Today feels a bit more closed but not by much.  I'm CD16 (AF usually arrives CD28).  I'm feeling extra emotional this month (a song made me cry while driving yesterday - so not like me!) and my nipples are more sensitive and tender than previous months.  I'm now feeling bloated too.  Does anyone know how nursing affects CF?

ocelotmom, I'll move you over to 2WW.  Sounds like a bit of luck will be needed this month for a BFP... so good luck!

Ok, so my body is giving me much more clear signals this morning.  Cervix is closed (although still high and soft) and my CF is definitely creamy, not wet, not stretchy.  So, off to the 2WW I go, yay!  I'm determined not to test until I'm actually late this month, so that will be the 21st at the earliest.  I may even wait to open my BFP present on Christmas morning... but I'm not sure I'll be able to be that patient :-)

Just got a positive OPK. Yay! Finally, I've been testing for 5 days.

Good luck ocelotmom! And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you AngelKissedKids!

Hi everyone ! I was hoping I could join this thread as well. My husband and I have been ttc for 3 months, 2 of which were confirmed chemical pregnancies ( the third month, this month, I wanted to wait to test until I was late, which would gave been tomorrow, but ad came today.). I am nursing my 17 month old son anywhere from 3 to 6 times in a 24 hr period. I'm driving myself a little crazy thinking things aren't sticking because of me nursing and my progesterone levels could be low. I'm calling my on Monday and asking to get tested. But lasting he actually told me that bfing INCREASES progesterone levels! Very confused and frustrated. With my son I got pregnant the first month we tried. I would just like to figure out what is going on! Thanks for letting vent and any advice of tips are much appreciated:)

I'd like to join in on this thread! If I haven't had my first PPAF yet, would I be in the "waiting to be ready" section, or waiting to catch the first PP egg section?

Welcome!  If you're hoping to get pregnant, then you would belong in the waiting to catch the first PP egg.  If you're hoping not to get pregnant for a while for whatever reason, then waiting to be ready would be more appropriate.  How old is your nursling?

Yay, happybunny, a +ve OPK!  Wishing you lots of baby dust!

emarie5, I'm sorry to hear about your chemical losses.  I don't know much about progesterone levels during implantation and early pregnancy but I did read this article recently which talks about breastfeeding and low progesterone: http://www.naturallyknockedup.com/fertility-signals-while-breastfeeding/  Of course, if you're going to refute your doctor you would probably need to find a more academic source to demonstrate your findings to him (not that you should have to defend your concerns!).  Good luck this month!

(Updated to here)

A question for everyone, how early is it possible to get sore nipples as a sign of pregnancy?  Mine were especially sore around ovulation (they are usually just a bit sore) but the pain has persisted.  It's causing me to have a bit of an aversion to nursing.  Mostly just painful during latching but of course my 20 month old toddler is part monkey so there are a lot of gymnastics involved that causes her to re-latch many times.  I definitely did not have this pain or aversion last month.  Wishful thinking at 4DPO?

Hello, and thanks for the heads up!

My DS is 17.5 months and nurses twice a day + throughout the night. We're hoping to catch the first PP egg, but without my cycles having returned, it's been tricky to try and chart.

BFN today. Discouraged but still having preg symptoms so I'm not giving up yet. Will test later on in the week. I may have ovulated later than I thought.

This waiting for a ppaf or a positive pg test is driving me crazy. This is actually the oldest child I've had without getting one or the other. My period came back at 9 months once and 10 months another. Otherwise I've gotten positive pg tests and no ppaf when my others were 10 months and 9 months. I know it could still go for months like this and my baby is only 10.75 months, but it's just different from my history.

I'm hoping some of you get a positive for Christmas!!

CD32 last night (between 9-12dpo) I took a dollar tree test and got this: (with MUCH tweaking, I was able to see a thick line, but a little grayish...)

So this am, I tested with fmu (but maybe only a 3hr hold) and got this:  (this is just the photo, no tweaking)

What do you think?

I also posted in DecTWW, sorry if this is a repeat for you.

AngelkissedKids- my nipples were SO sore around O for 5 days.  Like, so sore that I thought maybe I had thrush.  It just went away suddenly, and vivid dreams began that night.  Maybe good news for us both!

Ocelotmom and Happybunny- GL the next few days!  Glad to have someone else's 2ww to obsess over, I'm SO done with being in my own.   It ends on Wed, at last.  I hope you can spend less time on google and forums than I have.  I have been a total spaz this time around.

emily11megan, I definitely see the lines, on both.  So faint, but there!  I hope you're testing again tomorrow (and hold your urine tonight!) - I'm excited to see a BFatP :-)  A very early, tentative congrats!?!  Hoping my sore nipples this month are a positive sign too!

Serenyd, sorry to hear about your BFN.  Hoping your next test comes up +ve!

100%mom, that's interesting to hear about your 9-10 month intervals with or without a PPAF.  We'd love to have 5 kids but are only working on #3 at the moment since my fertility doesn't return early.  14 months after the 1st baby and 17 months after the 2nd.  I suspect the next interval for myself will be even longer, especially since I will be over 35y/o next time we TTC (knock on wood, there is a next time!).  Wishing you lots of patience or a surprise BFP!
