I'm waiting to ovulate.
Do you start counting cycle days from the first day of your period or another point?
This morning's test (same one, 2 pics)
Even DH says I see it...but.... He is like so many men and might need a digital. What's the deal with that? Gotta spend $15? The dollar tests are the s#*t! lol, feeling a little giddy right now.
So, if this baby sticks, I'll have a newborn, 2.5 yo DS and just shy of 5yo DD. This sound like anyone else's family?
Wanna give me some advice? :)
Congrats! I don't know why men do not think a light line is Pos my husband did the same thing to me last time.
Congrats @ emilyllmegan!
@ Angelkissedkids hopefully the sore nipples are an early sign of BFP. I had very sore nipples starting a week prior to BFP with DD. Now I get them intermittently when she's teething so not sure if that could be playing a factor with yours.
AFM - just coming into fertile time on CD11 with EWCM and cervix HSO today. Planning to DTD every other day until O (If I O, not sure if I did prior to 1st PPAF, wasn't temping). I did try out an opk stick last night that had no LH line whatsoever. Not sure I've I'm going to keep doing those every night as it just feels so calculated rather than following my own fertility signs...on the other hand I am eager for any type of information as this is the first PP cycle!
I think I may have jumped the gun a little, because I didn't dry up after that. We'll see. I'm sure DH won't complain if I decide we should try again this month :) It's pretty usual for me to have an unusually long cycle at this time of year, so that may be what's happening.
Anyways, I'm probably not testing until Christmas unless I'm already pretty sure earlier.
Cindy-lu, welcome! Best of luck!
emily11megan, congratulations! It's definitely darker now. Let me know when you're ready to be called a success story :-) I'm not sure if you put the idea in my head, or what, but I'm now having vivid dreams (sore nipples gone; now the dreams!). One dream last night had me sit straight up in an adrenaline rush. We're TTC baby #3 which if that happens soon, we'll have an infant, a 2.5 y/o, and a nearly 5 y/o, like you. Hoping I can follow you over to the August DDC soon :-)
AFM, DH and I decided tonight not to wait until Christmas to POAS (AF is due on Dec 20th). DH wants to know as soon as possible (he's as excited as me!) and I decided that the sooner I can find out, the better, because midwives are in short supply around here and I'll need to get myself on some wait lists ASAP if I'd like to have another homebirth. I imagine their offices will be closed over the holidays and I'd like to get my wait list requests in before then.
I dreamed of getting a BFP the night before I tested (and got a BFN), and then the next night I dreamed of BFNs all night, but it was weird, some of the tests looked like maxi pads and had no lines on them!
I know right? I'm just as excited about a potential #4 as I was any of the others! Luckily I have mamas who understand, both online and IRL.
Sorry ladies, I'm out. AF is starting.
Just got my first PPAF!!!! I'm actually excited.
100%mom- Hooray! On to babymaking?
I am ready to move to Success, dd 4yo, nursing ds 22mo 3PPAF. My two tests today were darker. Especially the one just now. It's weird. My 4pm/8pm tests were far darker than my fmu tests from the same days. I was nervous after this mornings seemed a bit lighter.
I am still early, and of course can miscarry, but I'm allowing myself to get attached to this potential little person, in case I'll know them for a long, long time.
Congrats -Emilyllmegan
100%mom-woo-hoo, how old is your LO.
AFM- I either just ovulated or I am getting sick. My temp was a full degree higher than yesterday. If I did O that means my 1st PPAF will be coming soon, unless we caught the egg which I doubt, our last encounter was Sunday. (We have a history of infertility)
Serenyd, sorry to hear that AF has made an appearance. Hoping that the new year will bring you your newest baby.
100%mom, yay for the 1st PPAF! Now you get to start BDing with purpose ;-)
emily11megan, I'm so excited for you! Off to successes you go! Wishing you sticky, healthy, growing baby vibes. I love that you're so willing to bond to your tiny little one. I know I can't help but do the same once I get a BFP, even with the risk of heartbreak.
stretch358, after a history of infertility, I'm especially wishing you lots of baby dust. It would be so amazing for you to catch the first egg!
AFM, I think I had a few hours of mild cramping on what I think was 6 DPO. No IB but the cramping was enough to cause some low back pain too. What's that expression, 'hindsight is 20/20'? I guess I'll find out soon enough if it was related to implantation :-)
Congratulations, emily11megan!
I would love to have a Labor day baby. So praying this month works!
Congrats E11M!!!
I'm curious, has anyone here tried to jump-start their fertility. I've read that a shock (rather than a gradual change) could jump-start fertility. My DS is 8 mo and no signs of fertility returning. I'm curious, if I used my giant freezer stash for his daycare bottles and just stopped pumping at work, would that be a good shock? I'm thinking in a couple months. We want to conceive ASAP when he is a year old, and that's in April. But I would actually like to keep our night nursings as long as he wants because I love nursing. I don't love pumping.
What do you ladies think of this plan?
I drank a bunch of parsley tea in attempts to start my cycle when dd was 9 or 10 or 11 months old (can't remember exactly when)
I got my 1st ppaf just after she turned one, and became pregnant that cycle.
I was attending births at the time, a couple a month. In August, when she was 11 months, I had my first really, really long birth; 30+ hours and my boobs were almost exploding. I had to take my bra off and drip all over my lap on the way home. I couldn't even touch the baby for the newborn exam, I was so ready to squirt milk all over the place. But I digress. Good luck with getting your cycle when you want it!
