Had labor and dialation every weekend for two weeks, So, today, 11:40am I wake up from DD and I's nap, and I get this series of contractions every threee minutes or so. Called DH to tell him "just in case", and cntx got so intense I couldn't stand. Called the midwives, my mom, dad, and prayed. 20 minutes later, mom and dad made it. I'd gotten into the bathtub as a stop-gap, but had to get out because the plug kept getting kicked out during contractions and I didn't want a half-water baby. The next 45 minutes were the most painful of my entire life, but at 1:08, my water broke and out she came. DH held my hand, mom caught the baby, and dad held DD in the hallway. The midwives got here two minutes later. It was hard, but very awesome, I got my much-prayed-after short birth and a UC! I feel very much like a cool person right now... and in the end my VBAC was mostly about having support during pregnancy, the birth part was just a G_d thing.
Its a girl! Elizabeth!
I've had 2 uc's now and it really makes you feel powerful, doesn't it?
