So true, Sara. Lol. If an adult sits on the floor around here for any reason, it must mean they want to give a piggie back ride. Dd1 has a recurring joke where she plops her long tween self on my lap and says, "Your lap is much smaller than I remember."
Amanda, you have so many girls, it's all about wrestling over here. Someone gets on the floor and they're just easier to take all the way down.

I know that Jaimee told me not to leave the DDC for anything I want opinions on or discussion. I got my a$$ jumped on the Sex Talk forum. Never again!

Haha. It did take 16 months with Conner, that's why I'm so shocked.
Yes, I'm done with school, so hopefully this go around is a lot more peaceful, though I do have a toddler now, so he probably replaces school plus some, haha.
I took my last BC November 17... Had a period the 26-29... And now I'm pregnant. Haha. Crazy how that works.

I love your out of context picture you threw in, Sara. It literally made me LOL. This thread is by far my favorite. I feel so disconnected from anyone else I try to talk to.

Yes that was me!  There is definitely not an abundance of help or support anywhere else on MDC that I have seen.

That is why I love our Ddc! I can ask anything here, safely, without fearing a snappy/rude reply! Definitely a wonderful group - so glad you are all here smile.gif

Anyone else have a kiddo that still nurses all night? Jasper is definitely my most restless baby. I don't think I ever get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time. I have to work on cutting back on his night nursing... I may have to travel a bit for work in the spring/ summer. Plus, I'm taking my Girl Scout troop camping. I definitely can't leave dh with a toddler who can't sleep without nursing!!

R still nurses at night. Usually for an hour when we lay down and then once or twice after that. So, I am getting good chunks of 3-5 hours, but he still does nurse at night and he can't fall back asleep otherwise. I don't mind it, though! :)

I bet the other mamas will have suggestions for you. When R was cutting all those teeth and biting a few weeks ago I had to just hold and rock him to sleep... he cried for about five minutes and then fell asleep just fine. And some nights we have DH wear R on his back in the ergo for bedtimes (8:30) and then I can do a few things. Then when I'm ready to go to bed I bring R with me.

Speaking of teeth.... he's finally cut all of those teeth that were bugging him so bad.... all four canines and all four first molars. SO he's got a grand total of 16 teeth, now!

I wouldn't mind so much if it was just 1-2 times. It's all night right now. He'll nurse for 5 min, roll around and fuss, nurse for 5 min, repeat. He's has a cold for like 6 weeks now... We finally took him to the doctor yesterday. She said his eardrums are inverted or something... something to do with pressure? And there is fluid behind one, but no infection. She said it would make him uncomfortable, so I'm wondering if that is what is keeping him up. Unfortunately, I've heard kids in daycare are just sick constantly the first year. So I doubt there is much I can do.

Dh does put him to bed, though, so that is a big help.

Yay for Rhyko's teeth!!

I already shared this on the picture thread, but I wanted to put it here too, because I love my AP group here so much! I got this Boba Organic for $45 from a local mama. Originally $125, only used for a year.

I was up 6 or 7 times between the boys last night. Shay wakes twice usually. When I go to bed and an hour or so before we get up.

Christina, wow on the teeth! A few of Shay's canines just cut and the molars keep getting bigger under his gums. I can't wait for them to be in!

Wow Christina, Rhyko has a lot of teeth! Sora only has 6 still. I feel like everyone has more than her. lol

Amanda, I'm sorry about Jasper being sick! It's true, what everyone says about daycare kids... Sora and I were sick for practically 3 months straight with one thing after another starting the first week she entered daycare, and we're just now *hopefully* getting a little break from it. I was so freaked out last week when the daycare leader told me one of the boys was kept home because he had hand, foot, and mouth disease. I was like.... whaaaaat? bigeyes.gif Whatever it is, it sounded nasty, and I wanted that kid to stay as far from Sora as he could. lol

Anybody hear from Jacquelyn (jbk21) lately? Seems like we haven't seen her here in a while.

Conner had 11 teeth, working on his 12.

My HcG was 59. I have another blood test next Wednesday. She said I'm probably only 3-4 weeks.

Eli is still only on 4 teeth - probably the only baby in our Ddc with the least teeth redface.gif he has huge mountains under his gums though - poor poppet.

Eli got a cold on Christmas Eve - he was so sad and feverish. He has been a trooper though... Apart from not sleeping for 2 nights, he seems on the mend. He slept in 10 minute intervals those two nights. I found some really good cold meds (homeopathic) - http://www.kids0-9.ca. The definitely have helped. I am interested in trying the pain and fever one, so I am getting one ordered through my local 'pure' pharmacy.

I used to work at a daycare and I was sick every two weeks for the first year I worked there greensad.gif

Becky - I have a black Boba carrier too and I absolutely LOVE it!

LOL, yeah, that was bad.  I just find unless I'm looking for some research or info on a specific topic, there is no point in going anywhere else for discussion.  Not to mention that I hardly ever get responses these days.  I posted some canning questions in the natural living section and haven't gotten a single response.  I love guys!

Ugh, yes.  Avery has been waking up a million times a night and while I can get him back to sleep without nursing sometimes, usually I need to nurse him to actually get him to sleep longer than 10 minutes.  It's been bad lately.  Walking, teeth, illness, etc. I know, but it still SUCKS.

Avery just got his other top two incisors, so now he has a total of 7 teeth.  He's copying Coralie and his four bottom incisor is nowhere to be seen!  LOL.

Hand, foot, and mouth disease... yes, sounds nasty.  We've had it several times, even me and dh.  The kids only broke out on their hands and feet, though, thankfully.  The little red dots are pokey painful and there can be other symptoms to go along with it.  It's bad, though, if you get it in the mouth/throat and have trouble eating.

Yeah, where's J?  I think she decided to take a break from MDC.  She's on FaceBook still, so I see occasional updates, but every time I've posted for her to come update us on MDC she hasn't responded.  I miss her!

And the most shocking news for last!  Wow!!!!  Congrats Nicole!!!   You're our first to get pg again!!!!   How are you feeling?  What does your dh think?  Two under two... that's like Austin and Avery.  Fun, fun!   lol.gif

Bettie still wakes up all. night. long.  She usually only nurses once around 4-5am, but its been pretty bad lately.  First off she got her first tooth in September and now has 11, including her molars.  Teething is hellish. Second, she has had cold after cold since my older kids constantly bring home every cootie they can.

Becky- Im super jealous of your ergo!  I have been lusting after one for months but have yet to prioritize it financially.

Nicole- why are they doing quant hcg's?  And super congrats!!!

Greta, I am proud to say, is sleeping through the night now. She started doing that around her birthday, I think. Maybe a little before. It has been wonderful!

Teeth... Greta has 4 on the bottom, 3 on top and one of her molars is cutting through right now.

I am jealous of the sleep some of you are getting. I have to work on getting him to go back to sleep without nursing! It's tough though. No, like Jaimee said, it sucks! I feel like a zombie at work half the time.

Oren still wakes up and nurses all night long. A good night is just nursing 3 times. Been contemplating night-weaning, but there always seems to be something else going on at the moment - moving, teething, illness. Plus, with three babies in the house, someone is always up at some point, and my roommate lets her babies cry a little, and so while I can sleep through most of what her babies are doing, on some of the worst nights we'll be up for a while listening to a crying baby.

He currently has 7 teeth - missing the bottom hillbilly toof as well!

Congrats NIcole! I was just thinking it was time for someone to get pregnant - I've got baby fever like crazy over here, and it's time to live vicariously through someone else (I know - 5 kids under 4 in our house and yet my body wants to add more? Nuts.) Keep us updated!
