Good luck with CNA school!  I was a CNA pre nursing school (which I never finished- good thing, I'd never fit in now! LOL).  It's crazy what a good paying job it can be.  My schooling here was only a month (did it right out of high school and the summer program was every day of the week, so that's why it was only a month) and some of my classmates were making more than people with 4-yr degrees starting out!

I wonder if CNAs make more than teachers. Except...the whole giving needles thing. And...I'd lose snow days! I consider not having to go out in bad, bad weather, and being able to be on my kids' schedule to be a perk amid the challenges.

I'm going to use it to hopefully get to work in a nursing home, or preferably, home health care. I did home health care last year for a few months, until he died (And I really miss him, too. Stubborn as a mule, but I really liked him, and I was the only one he didn't give any trouble. He didn't talk much (He had had several strokes), but when he did, it was either really funny, or it just made me happy.) I didn't/don't have any formal training, which is why I can't go work somewhere now, but I learned a lot there that might help me do better with the course. I just like taking care of people. :)

I'm so upset. I had my 20 week anatomy scan yesterday. I asked for copies of some photos and she said she'd put them all on a CD for me. Well when I got home and tried to show my dad the pics, there was none on there! I didn't get any pics of the baby. :( Then it started a huge fight with my DH, which I'm going to post in a separate thread because I need help there.

Also, she took a lot of pics of the head & heart. That's pretty normal for an anatomy scan right? She didn't mention anything was wrong...

I'm so sorry about your anatomy scan! That stinks!

And yeah, they do take a lot of pictures of head, heart, kidneys, etc. Just making sure everything is good. :)

So far nothing worth reporting here (save for the fact that I'm still here, period!). Surprisingly my SPD and SI joint pain haven't flared up too terribly yet. I've also been able to do a fair job at slowing my weight gain, which has been an interesting experience. I still haven't had my thyroid re-draw yet...look forward to those results (out of curiosity). Baby moves all the time, still feel most movements down low but yet plenty of random movements up higher...can't remember how that compares to my other pregnancies, but I do ALWAYS carry ridiculously low so who knows. I've had a few days of nerve-wracking cramps/contractions, though hardly any BH to speak of for the last few weeks (which considering I start feeling them mid-1st tri, it's pretty noticeable!).

Last night, I was cramping so badly that I was having to completely stop talking through the cramps. I wasn't sure if BH ever hurt, so I wasn't sure whether it was just cramping(I stay very constipated and gassy) or actual contractions. Luckily, they stopped after about 45 minutes... but I was worried for a while.

Yeah it's hard not to!  Because really the only way to tell it's amounting to nothing isn't until hindsight!  It always freaks me out when I can tell they are coming at regular intervals.  Thankfully I know my cervix really well and can tell when there are (or aren't) changes happening so I can rely on that a lot, but still...it's never a pleasant feeling.

I've read and been told that BH should not hurt - but they do, sometimes. Not all the time, they can vary for me but yes, I've had them hurt.  I have been able to tell true contractions from BH, maybe from the intensity, timing and that I'm "due".

I'm on a roller coaster of up and down. One day I'm great and thinking positive and the world is find and dandy. The next (today) I'm tired, didn't want to come to work, having a hard time focusing (hence my break to come here) and I just want to go home and nap. I did take a long lunch break today and slept in the car and it helped, but nothing like getting a nap in a bed.

I too am feeling the baby move all the time and I just love it Just LOVE IT! Most of what I feel is also is very low with random kicks high or on the side. I did see my stomach move on the outside once so it won't be long and finaly DH & the kids can feel it. That will be wonderful for me too! I love getting to share this pregnancy with my kids - they understand so much. My 13 is awesome and is so supportive of me in general and this pregnancy.

Yeah, I'm with you- I have always been consistent with that...my BH never hurt. (they certainly get more intense closer to the end, though) They just feel like that weird tightening, just a strange tension in my abdomen and a hard belly to prove it! LOL  Real contractions feel completely different to me...just icky and crampy feeling (until labor or close to it...then I LOVE them!).

Another thing I've noticed lately is that I'm already uncomfortable laying on my back (most of the time) and sometimes even on my side.  I have to sleep on my boppy pillow (I also have different body pillows that work at times, but I like the firmness and smaller size of the boppy)  under my ribs and around my belly, so it sort of holds me up and relieves any pressure that causes the discomfort.  I sleep so much better that way.  And since I haven't been having the horrific SPD yet I haven't had to be sleeping with a large pillow between my legs at all times, so sleep hasn't been too horrible yet!  Pleasant surprise. :)

Hi everyone
I'm 23 w 4 d and still don't feel the boys moving...I wish I could so I can have some reassurance ... Dr said not to worry that bigger women feel them later and the placentas are anterior on two of them... Still I only have a short time left of being preg I'd like to feel them!!!
The last two days have been lots of sharp but quick pains especially where baby b is... It's also getting more painful to stand ... They weren't kidding when they said a triplet pregnancy is hard on the body
I am done working this week with one day next week... And bed rest starts
I also have my second cold in less than a month ... Grr I almost never get sick .....

Congrats on all the good news ladies!! I had my regular OB appt today and my GTT test today too. They will call me by friday to give me my results. The sugar drink made me feel awful and shaky ugh. But we went out for lunch after and I had a 12oz sirloin steak! OMG! So good lol my BP was perfect, and here at 24weeks and 2 days I have finally gained some weight!!! 2.8 lbs since 4 weeks ago I've never been so excited to gain weight lol my dr said I was doing great and shouldn't be worried at all! And it was SO nice to tell my family that the dr isn't worried at all! They have all been giving me a hard time cuz I hadn't gained anything. So it was great to tell them I have finally gained some and so get off my back lol my fundal hieght is measuring ahead for the first time too, so the protien shakes must be working and baby girl must have had a growth spurt. We have another growth scan tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait to see her sweet face

The more I have thought about it, the more I believe that I was just having really bad gas cramps. I did use the bathroom much later in the evening. When I miscarried, I had some true contractions and can remember the pressure being so much more uncomfortable than the pain. 

Cananny, even though I feel my baby, I am bigger and only feel him at certain times of the day, and usually only a few times. I probably feel him 10-15 times a day, so not much. As far as WHERE I feel his movements, most are really, really low. And most are in response to certain sounds, like me constantly clicking on the mouse on my computer. (It's a weird habit.) 

BeanBean, that is awesome news!! Hope you enjoy seeing her tomorrow!

Ooph. Think I'm getting some Braxton Hicks. Don't remember getting many with DD (and definitely not this soon or uncomfortable), but I've heard they can be more intense in subsequent pregnancies.

I am exhausted today. Been getting a lot done. But now I'm struggling o find the energy to even stand up and microwave corn dogs for dinner. lol. :P

I just have to say that even with my grumpy-don't-wanna-do-anything mood today, coming here and chatting with you ladies makes me feel really grateful to have a place like this. It's really REALLY nice to have people to talk to who are right there with you. By the time I joined my DDC for DD it was already pretty close to the end so I didn't really get to know the ladies.

I'm exhausted today, too. But I haven't done a daggone thing today. And I have been craving corn dogs for *weeks*! I've given in a few times, because, well, they're good, but I've been really trying not to eat as much of that stuff anymore, because I'm trying to watch my sodium (which I'm assuming corn dogs are full of). Just because I took advantage of and am enjoying McDonald's having their Big Macs on sale for $1.12 today.

funny, I've been going crazy for corn dogs too. fake ones though. I'm a vegetarian trying to fight my meat cravings right now.  Morningstar makes some pretty darn tasty fake-corn dogs. Theres 470 mg sodium per dog, but it's supposedly 70 less fat than the average beef corn dog.  Good enough for me and it hits the spot!

Oh, man! Morningstar tastes practically like meat! I'm so hungry right now! We usually get... I don't know the brand, but it's meat, and IIRC, they are made of mostly/all turkey, and little/no pork/beef. I think I'm getting another box this weekend.

Even though I don't post everyday, I check in usually twice or more to see what everyone is up to So grateful to have a site like this with so many caring women! Have you been to BabyCenter? That place is like a circus meets a dog fighting ring - so many mean spirited, cruel comments and attacks! I pop in every once in a while and quickly remember why I hang out over here instead!

I'm still friends with a group of about 25 members of my DD club with my youngest daughter (2008) we even send each other xmas cards and do holiday, mothers day and even kids birthday "swaps" were we basically draw names and send gifts. It's wonderful! And they've truely become some of my closest friends!
