Best carrier for back carry?

I have an Ergo sport which has a shorter body than the regular Ergo. It's been great for hot weather and loving it so far, however when I back carry with it, my daughter falls asleep with her head hanging backwards.

What's a good carrier with neck/head support for back carry? DD is 9 months, 18 lbs, 29 inches. Thanks!

I just have an ergo and when the baby starts to get sleepy, I put the hood up, then her head doesn't flop around.

I loved the Beco Gemini for front carrying but I found exactly the same as you at this age with back carrying - ds is tall and he needed better support for sleeping. I switched to the Boba 3G which is brilliant for him as it has a long body and feels really secure. The hood works really well too and is quite easy to flip up once you get the hang of it. I don't find the Boba very comfy for front carrying as it slips off my shoulders but ds is a bit too big for front carrying now anyway. Overall for back carrying I would highly recommend the Boba

I had an Ergo Performance and loved it up until DD got to be 9 months ish and I wanted/needed to start back carrying her more. I think she was almost 20 pounds then and while she still preferred the front carry (closer to The Milks) it was hard to do something with her bulk on my front and my body wanted a break from feeling all weighted in front. Anyway, point is that the Ergo Performance HURT me like crazy in back carry. 

I ended up in vesting in a Kinderpack (http://www.kindercarry.com/) and LOVE it. I got the toddler one when she was 10 months because she was just at the low end of height requirements and I didn't want to buy another. It's so so so so much more comfortable than my Ergo. For me and her I think. I remember when we first made the switch that DD would nestle up in a way she hadn't done in the Ergo in a long time, like she was finally comfy again. And I can hike for hours with her current 27 pounds on my back (or even front!!!) and not be sore as long as I've adjusted it right. It's got more ways to tweak the adjustment than Ergo too...

I'd suggest the Beco carriers. They pretty much look like an Ergo but the Beco Gemini has a fold-up and fold-down headrest and the Beco Butterfly 2 has a removable headrest or sleeping hood and both of them can be used for what you need with your 9-month old on your back. :o)

This is what i do with my one year old DS...hood keeps his head from flopping around...also as he hit the one year old mark he started to sleep against me naturally as he grew stronger!

This is the age when I transitioned from a mei tei back to a woven wrap carrier.  I had started with the moby which got too stretchy as he got heavier then went to a homemade mei tei and then to a non-stretchy woven wrap around 18#.  Just recently stopped carrying him on my back this way and he is 4.5 years old!  :)

I also do this because DD usually feel asleep in our Action Baby Carrier when I do the back carry. 

Though, I also read in a thread in  using a scarf, putting it in the back diagonally and tieng it infront  whereas the upper part of the scarf is supporting the head so it not hanging side by side.

The Kinderpack looks amazing! Do you think the straps would be okay for a small mama with narrow shoulders? I currently have the Beco Gemini but DD (8 months and 19 pounds) likes to tilt her head back all the way when worn in a front carry so I'm looking for a taller carrier so I can use the back carry without her tilting her head back.
