Dingoes Running in Search of Light and Warmth in December! - Page 14

Wonderful news as I ring in the year, Jennie. Welcome home, sweet Tripod (whom btw my kids totally lurved). So very happy for your family!

Sparkle, I'm all but off the SSRIs. Taking half a pill when I remember (like every 3rd day?) now. So far so good. I'll happily provide any info I can offer. Listened to To The Best of Our Knowledge this past week and one episode in particular had me thinking of you. Probably a convo not for a public board though.

Plady and lofty, you both look radiant! So fun!

JenLove, I'm so happy to hear that tripod is back.

Good luck tonight tjsmama. Have a great race!

Jo, recalibration seems like the perfect word for your diet.

Night shift again tonight. I'm headed in on not-quite-enough sleep, since a three year old snuck in to bed with me around two this afternoon and started smothering with kisses. I work too much this week and couldn't really resist getting up to play.

What's the date for treasure mapping?

Hi Dingos!

Alas I've already said goodbye to Lofty and fam in the wee hours this morning.  It was so so nice to have them here and felt so normal.  I can't believe it had been 5 years either, the last time we saw each other was in San Miguel right before Alison was born!  Crazy.  And she's just as beautiful and awesome as always.  And her boys are big and sweet and really good guys.  It was fun to see the kids all immediately fall into playing together.  Alison asked if she could keep the boys to be her brothers.  So we'll just have to make another meetup happen sooner rather than later.  And Lofty and I started daydreaming about a Dingo-only meet-up somewhere sometime.  It should really happen.

Jennie - So glad Tripod came home!

MelW - Hope your night shift is quiet!

More personals next year mamas!  Have a happy night!

Great photos! I cannot wait for my turn. joy.gif

welcomeback.gif to Tripod!

I am still mulling over our Christmas. Pleasant enough and probably an appropriate holiday to 2012. Dh and I went to dinner last night just the two of us. We got seated right away and I felt a wave of something wash over me. For 8 days I was feeding, driving, washing, seating, etc. a party of 10 and like someone (Lofty?) said up thread I almost ran out of patience for it all. Almost.

Shanti, I am knitting a scarf I think you pinned. I like it even more than I expected -just a bit lace-like but a not very complicated 4 row repeat. It was a very slow start for me as I got comfortable with it but I hope I am on a roll now.

Happy New year to all! It is still early here and I hope to be sound asleep at midnight.

RR: Here, where it is sunny and warn all the time, I put in 4 miles late afternoon when it was about 50F and it hailed in my face for about a mile. It made the rain for the next couple of miles seem not so bad which made the shower that followed even better.

Jennie - joy.gif for Tripod's return

MelW - one more night! I hope you can catch up on sleep. You are a good mama to sacrifice it for some cuddling orngbiggrin.gif

Jo - what about bcp's? are they in the picture anymore. i think that's the root of my ills. I did take an ssri for part of the pms phase (I'm just trying to throw in acronyms at this point lol.gif) and that seems to help. Maybe I'll just stay on it and see how that affects the overall system. There's more, but alas I fear it's only interesting to me lol.gif

Happy 2013!!!

Jennie - I am so glad to hear that Tripod came home. I bet he was hungry!!

Plady and Lofty - your meetup looks like it was great! I love the idea of a Dingos only meetup too.

mommajb - running in hail? Yuck.

MelW - I don't think I'd have been able to say no to those kisses either smile.gif

Jooj - recalibrating my diet here too. No sugar or wheat for the last 4 days, and today begins a true Whole30. Eggs, veggies and black coffee were a perfect start to the day, month and year.

RR - hiked 4 miles in the snow with the family yesterday

NRR - I conked out in front of the fireplace at 10:30 last night, but DH and the children woke me up in time to see the year turn. I just can't stay up late anymore. My children, even the 6 yo, made it just fine though.... We spent most of last night purging cabinets and drawers. DH had all the kids going through the millions of marker and pens we own to test every one. We must have thrown away 200 pens. And then we sharpened all the pencils. And organized the junk drawer. We sure know how to have fun, don't we! Our hike yesterday was wonderful. A light snow fell the entire time and the woods is an entirely different place in the snow. We had planned on the entire 5.3 mile loop, but by the time we hit the 2 mile mark, the girls were exhausted and wet, so we turned around and walked back to the trailhead for a total of 4 miles. I could have stayed out all day myself. We had planned to go to a really cool restaurant that serves all local foods, but they had no reservations left, so we ended up at the Olive Garden. Not my favorite, but the kids like it there and there wasn't a line. I did manage to find a menu item without pasta at least.

Happy New Year to everyone!!!! May 2013 be filled with happiness, joy, running, and maybe a Dingo meetup!
