Hi everyone! I just found this site and I'm so grateful, lots of great information here!
I'm 39 and have a wonderful 4 year old daughter. We are ttc #2 but so far no luck. I'm starting to get a little discouraged. It could be stress, my husband was hit hard in the financial crisis just when my daughter was born and since he has not had steady employment. We live in Asia where I can't work and have moved around almost every six months for the last 4 years, so stress could definitely be a part of it.
My daughter has also never slept more than 3 hours in a row - ever! Which has contributed to me having sleep problems, at one point I resorted to taking a very small dose of melatonin every night just so I could fall back to sleep. Unfortunately this lasted for 2 years...at the time I thought I was taking something that was safe and natural. Now, older and wiser, I see it is a hormone that can possibly effect ovulation...did I mess myself up? I stopped taking it a few months ago when I realized this.
I still co-sleep with my daughter, who I breastfed until she was 3 years and 2 months old.
