What is cheating to you?

Apparently, my dh and myself have different opinions on what cheating is.. We have had a rough year in our marriage both financially and emotionally. This weekend I was out of town with our children. When I gone my dh was texting me telling me that he got some girls number while at a bar on Saturday (he went with his sisters to celebrate one of their birthdays, I knew he was going but didn't think this would happen.) He was bragging that he still has appeal to "the ladies", etc. Well I was really uneasy and when I got home I told him I wanted to know what happened that night and that I heard that wasn't all that happened (I didn't hear anything, it was just a feeling I had) He told me that he made out with some girl at the bar. He doesn't feel that he did anything wrong, or that I view it as cheating. I am heartbroken. I know our marriage isn't perfect and we have definitely had a rough time, but I would have never done that to him! I don't know what to do..

Wow, I'm so sorry.  Kissing someone else is definitely cheating.  He has to at least admit that he crossed a line.

But it doesn't really matter how anyone else defines cheating.  All that matters is that to you, kissing someone else is cheating and that he broke your trust.  That he is trying to play it off as no big deal is very concerning.

I'm sorry mama.

anything you wouldnt do in front of your partner is cheating.

I mostly agree with Sharlla. (I do know people with open relationships who wouldn't ever actually watch their partners with anyone else, which technically doesn't fit the "in front of your partner" rule...but it's not hidden.)

From how I percieve life as a couple, kissing is cheating.
