Has anyone felt movement and then it stopped?

I know baby is okay - I have a doppler and everything sounds fine. I'm just baffled as to how I felt SO much movement for a few days, and now hardly anything. Could it have been wearing tighter pants that made me feel things more? Do babies go nutso at 12 weeks and then calm down?

I'm not concerned, so much as confused. I am 100% positive movement was baby (as opposed to gas or whatever people say it is instead). I'd lay in bed at night and just feel the little one tapping away in there. I miss it. :( I loved the constant reassurance that little one was doing okay in there.

Could it simply be a matter of positioning, either of the baby or of your uterus? Maybe baby flopped in a different direction... or maybe your uterus has migrated and is now in a place where you aren't as sensitive to movement?

I suspected it may have to do with the position of my uterus - if it's up a little higher, I may not feel movements as much?

Oh well, I suppose it'll be soon enough that I'm wishing the little one would slow down a little and give me a break! :) Remind me of today if I ever try to complain of too much movement. ;)

I also go through periods where I can feel the bean jumping around...and then not again for a while.  I'm pretty sure that it is in fact bean.  I only feel it at night though, and some nights I just don't get the feeling.  I contemplated about whether or not it had to do with how full my colon was (TMI, I know) because I feel like that would put more pressure on my uterus to push it forward where it was easier to feel.  shrug.gif Who knows?

Well, at 12 weeks is about when the placenta is big enough to become a punching bag for the little one and if it happens to be an anterior (I think that's the right word) then it could be right in the front of your uterus and that's why you felt it for a week or so and not so much now.  I forget which baby it was but one of them had this front covering placenta and I couldn't feel a lot after 12-13w but felt more after say 24-25w.  This could be it for you too mama :)

I felt definite movement some time ago (I think around 11 weeks), mostly while resting in bed. And then occasionally while walking around. It was very strong and frequent for a while. Now at 14 weeks, I feel it much less often. So you're not the only one.

Closer to 14 weeks now, and I can feel baby at some point most days - if I wear tighter pants and lean over (like when at a basketball practice with my boys), I feel it a lot more!

Nobody will believe this, because I barely do - but my son was having a rough time last night missing his father, and he put his hand on my belly and little one gave a HUGE jab. We both jumped and his eyes were so wide. I still can't believe it. He felt the baby move! There's no way he faked it...the timing was crazy as to when we both felt it...and it was such a strong feeling. I think little one was worried about their brother, and wanted him to know how special he is. :)
