I have some awesome, really pretty multicolored yard and I would like to knit or crochet (it doesnt really matter to me, because I barely remember how to knit so Im going to have to relearn anyway) a hat like this:
I cannot seem to find a pattern for this. I'd like a pattern with instructions since I dont actually know how to do this. I've seen lots of "Oh, you just do yadayadayada and then you decrease blahblahblah until its the size you want..." but, thats not really my speed. I have someone who is going to come and sit with me to teach me how to do the actual thinggy, but Id like to have a pattern on hand to show her what I want. Plus, I want to know what needles to buy. Also, I dont need any stripes or anything, just all one color yarn.
For reference, this is the yarn that I have: http://www.redheart.com/yarn/boutique-magical
It doesnt get super cold here, and we arent really planning to use them to keep them warm, more for amazing cutness factor.
It seems like a lot of the patterns result in hats that are tight or stiff. I want the hat to be floppy and soft. Will that happen?
Thanks! Im hoping someone knows how to use the internet better than me :)
