Judah Emerson has come earthside!!! « Back to Group Discussions

Hiya ladies!! So, after 60 hours of active labor, transferring to the hospital around 53 hours, and breaking a million hospital protocals, Judah Emerson was born into my hands in my hail mary move of the end of his birth story. I'll write up a birth story SOON, as I haven't slept since about 11pm Monday night for about two hours, right before I went into labor. 

Here's his stats: 

Judah Emerson, 8lbs, 7oz, 20 inches long, born at 40 weeks, 1 day, at 12:15pm on 12-6-12

We are all doing wonderfully and happily adjusting to a family of five! 

Thank you, THANK YOU mamas for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers over the last few days. I've been thinking about you all lately and can't wait to come back here over the weekend to read up on some other birth stories! Now, I've got a tiny boy to snuggle!!

ahhhh...I cried reading this! Like I said on another thread--I have a special place in my heart for long labors <3 and it is kinda rare to hear a story like yours and Judah's that doesn't end in a surgical  birth or other major interventions and I feel LIBERATED hearing a story so close to mine from such a strong, birthing mama! It is healing for me and has taken away some of my last fears about this birth--remembering that I CAN do it again if I need to for as long as it takes <333333 

SO happy for you! Can't wait to hear more and see some more pics of your cuddly baby boy! I know I don't know what you look like IRL, but I feel like he resembles you a bit--is that accurate?
