The special ed teacher sent me my daughter's proposed new IEP tonight - of course the meeting is tomorrow, so I've had all of like 2 hours to notice and look it over. DD has ADHD, SPD, social/emotional delays, etc, but she's also been independently tested to have a very high IQ, and way back when, in preschool, the preschool people added a line to her IEP that stated that she should be provided opportunities to do work at her ability level. Ignoring the fact that this line gets no support whatsoever from the school principal, whose attitude I disliked when I last met with her, I want it in there in case I need to throw a fit over this issue later.
Can I refuse to sign the IEP if they don't put it back in? What happens if I refuse to sign it? Anybody? I'm meeting with the spec ed team at 7:30am tomorrow so if you have advice, please share!
