Leafylady, I just noticed that Ana has the same sleeper! Or she did. I think it was preemie size and she's so long it barely fit her. I think she only wore it the first night bc that's what the MW stuck on her. When Ana's in that position, I call it her "Milk Induced Coma". :)
I didn't have time to comment the other day, just wanted to share my little Titty Monster's pictures. Hehe She's really been a great baby so far!
Sarah, Everett's SO cute! I hear you about not being able to put them down. I think I held her almost 2 weeks solid, and the only reason I let her go was bc my Mom came up at 2 weeks and stayed a week. Ana apparently really reminds her of me so she was having "Deja Vous all over again" holding her. I know it's going to be at least a year till we're together again, so I let her be a baby hog as much as I could.
Ana hates her car seat too. Hubby was getting irritated yesterday bc we had to keep stopping to nurse. I asked him what he expected when we decided to have a baby. Lol My Mom keeps advocating I pump at least a bottle daily and give it to her so I can do it in public. I guess I could, but I'd rather not add one more complication to my life right now. We only shop every 2 weeks so it won't be that big a deal. I can always leave her in the car with Dad when she's sleeping or just stop and go to the restroom and feed her and let Daddy finish shopping.
Andrea, your children are adorable. Those eyes! I love it, "Mom! Maggie's crying!" Lol! I could see us kids doing that to our Mom too. Why? I have really no idea. Lol
Wendelberry, I LOVE that picture of his face! Lol Reminds me of Ana's in the Santa hat. It's like, Um, Mom! What's this thing?? I do the same thing - stare endlessly at the baby. Who knows when she's going to smile in her sleep - or awake. Why would you want to miss that? And just look how perfect! Why wouldn't you want to stare??? : )
Fran, can't wait to see you add some pics! My Mom always said she's got the most pictures of me, a few less of my oldest brother, less of my sister, and by the time we got to #6, us kids took almost all the pics of him or we'd hardly have any at all. Lol I guess that's why I only found 3 of my hubby as a newborn. He was #11. Lol
Babychak, you sound like me in a lot of ways! I LOVE the Moby. Ana hated it for the first 2 or 3 weeks but she's starting to come around. I think her major issue with it is that she falls asleep in it and can't wake up with a big stretch like she wants. It's totally a lifesaver though! I have used that and a ringsling I made and it's great. It was nice to have the sling shopping yesterday actually. We're cosleeping too. I have a crib sidecarred, but it's mostly just storing diapers and snacks for night. We mostly cuddle. She gets so cold if we don't so that's as good an excuse as I can think of. Hehe Since I tore so bad and couldn't crawl in the bed with the crib on it, hubby slept on the couch the first week and a half. He came back in Thanksgiving night (our babies are birthday twins!) and I was glad. He doesn't sleep that well though. I think hearing us even though it doesn't usually wake him still disrupts his sleep. I love your little man's eyes! They remind me of my nephew's. :)
Simonsez, that's just too cute! Lol My babe won't take a pacifier either, but it's okay. My Mom keeps saying Ana just uses me for one, and yes she does. But I'm the first woman in the family to have not have to supplement already. I think all those snacks help supply! (Ooh, now NAK, she's up!)
Faye, I was the same way.... I was geared up for a long labor and for time to stand still. It went SO FAST, then she was born even faster. I was 2 or 3 weeks reeling from it! Sorry for you having to nurse, pump and do formula. That's got to be a pain but yes, so great you can do all you can to give your baby the best! Keep doing all you can, Mama, sounds like you're doing great!
Leaflady, Ana cluster feeds at night. I call it her Nursing Marathon. She will eat15 or 20 min, then sleep the same, Wake up, eat some more, be awake a little, eat, sleep, eat, eat, eat, eat, then sleep about 3 hrs. That's my favorite part bc by then my nips are sore! Bust out the Lansinoh and go to sleep!
Wow, Wendel! He's gaining so fast! Your kids are gorgeous!
Sarah, thanks! I love that smile too! Everett's sleep routine sounds like Ana's though she's had some really needy days lately where she's had to nurse hourly for about 20 hrs, I tend to feel chewed on by the time she's finished with that. Generally though, she sleeps great overall and I am so thankful for that! Love that picture! He looks so content and just squishy!
