+1 Protein at 25 weeks...

Does protein usually get worse as time goes on? I know my base b/p is 110/60 so my mw wants to know if it ever gets to 140/80..I guess I'm just wondering if I'm looking at pre e or nothing.

I can't answer your question, but I just wanted to say that I've very jealous of your BP!  I don't think I've ever had mine read that low.

Perhaps your MW wants to know if it gets above 140/80 because that it too high for when you're pregnant (and too high to maintain for long periods of time when you're not pregnant.)

I'm not sure I have an answer either, but I had protein at +1 last week (at 24 weeks) also and my mw wasn't too concerned. (my bp is also typically very low, and a bp of 120/80 for me, at least would be high)

From what I understood from my mw, it's not as much as one reading that is of concern but changes over time, which I guess she's having you monitor your bp more closely,

It's something to follow up on, but traces of protein can be common and of no concern. If you get a reading of 2, then I would start to request regular monitoring. You can also get a Bp cuff for home (I have one) if you want to track your Bp. For me, I had nothing until near the end last time, then it increased fairly quickly. It can be different for everybody. I say don't worry, but definitely ask about it at your next appt

Thanks everyone!

I had trace protein towards the end of my other 2 pregnancies, it's just kinda early and already higher than it as then...rather disconcerting.

And yeah I do have good blood pressure :) hopefully it stays that way!

Did you have just the one reading of trace proteins?  As luck would have it, on Friday, I had a Doctor's appointment in the afternoon and an appointment with my MW in the evening.  At the Dr's, there was trace protein, but later on that day, there wasn't.

Just once but it was also the only time I've tested.
