Hello everyone! I'm expecting my second child with an EDD of Feb. 1. I've gone ahead and joined this birth club and January's as I've been told that my dates might be off by a week. Entirely possible considering that's how I got pregnant last time! Basic mathematics allude me.
Anyway, in contrast to my last pregnancy and birth in 2008/9, I have not been as active in birth forums. But, hey, I need a place to vent, connect, and get excited. So here I am -- finally!
To make a long story short, my almost 4 yo was born in Brooklyn via c-section and this bebe will be born in Spain. I'm going for a VBAC, which is pretty much a given in this country. So funny -- I went to my doctor and doula and was like, "do you think I'll run into any issues because I want to do a VBAC," and they pretty much answered, "like what?" So...there you go. That's just one of many differences I've encountered with birthing en español!
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I look forward to joining in many more conversations with all of you!
