Anyone starting the world of NST's?

I am about to go nutso on my doctor.   They have started NST's and BPP's.   This leaves me with 3-5 doctors appointments a week.  I am _not_ having it but I have to do it with tact as to not be oppositional.  *grumble*  I don't have enough time or money to do this many appointments (childcare, gas/parking, miles on my car, etc)

I am high risk because of age but more so because of an autoimmune disorder but this is overkill.

Anyone else in the twice weekly NST club?

I did with my last pregnancy. They will eventually find something to complain about. I did it for weeks until I got to 38 weeks and they told me I needed to be induced due to low amniotic fluid. It was such BS to go to the hospital 2x a week. greensad.gif

I start NST's/BPP on the 27th, and I be going in once a week to get it done. It seems like super long appointments. I have to do a U/S, then an NST for 30 minutes, and then see my OB.

I start 2x weekly NSTs next week, w/ 1x/week OB appt. I don't mind because it's twins and I'm close to the end! Alas, I'm also lucky that my insurance pays absolutely everything (no copay for anything prenatal, either).

I'm supposed to start in a little over a week. I'm not looking forward to it.  Not because of the test, but because the hosptial I'll have to go to is incrediably slow and last time they promised it'd be less than an hour and I was there for 3 hrs!

I'm starting NST and U/S appts soon too... for pre existing hypertension and possible effects on baby.

I had an interesting discussion with my OB first, though.  He said the jury is kind of out on whether to use 1x or 2x a week as the standard of care.  Apparently, OBs have differing opinions on whether 1x or 2x a week is sufficient?  Thankfully, he is content with 1x a week for me....... is this a conversation that you can have with your office, Michelle R?

I had them with my last child born January 2012. Now I am having them with this baby due February 4th, 2013.

They are good for me because in 2010 I lost a baby at 27 weeks. So I do not mind them so much. I am having a VBAC.

I have had 2 c-sections and one VBAC already. Have to travel 1.75 hours to get to a hospital that is VBAC friendly.

I am in my 38th week and am SO very ready to deliver! I am also considered high risk. Overweight and 40 seem like

big no no's for most DR's. But at UW I am an easy case!!! They are all great with me and are giving me every opportunity

to have a VBAC even with 2 previous sections!!! Hope everyone is well.
