I'd like to join! 

I completed the 2012 challenge early November and am ready to go again.  I've gotten rid of more things in those months but didn't/won't count them towards the total (stopped counting at 2087).   Not sure if we'll make the goal this year as we did such a major purge last year and as we have a new baby due to arrive in May, which will require much of my attention, but having a goal in mind will sure help. 

Last year not only did I get rid of well over 2012 items, I also saved and/or earned  $2204.95 by selling unwanted items and buy getting rid of enough stuff that DH didn't need to spend the budgeted $1500 to build an outdoor storage shed in our yard.

So far I've cleaned out my cupboards/pantry and fridge.  I got ride of a lot of items (at least 30).

I have a huge garbage can full of various items that I am giving to my new neighbor. I didn't count but it's a 40 gallon can so I will say 50 plus the 4 trash sacks in my laundry room, the exercise machine, 3 broken chairs and box of toys that no one played with.....can I say 150.....

Joining in again this year, I ran out of steam mid-January last year, and midway through 2011, but I did manage to get to the goal in 2010, so hopefully I'll do it again this year! I've guesstimated the amount of clothes, books & cardboard boxes as they are already bagged up/gone :)
