Families to Focus On

Hello wonderful MDC members. As you know the Holiday Helper Program tries to meet the make the holidays bright for Families in Need from our own wonderful community. We have been making great progress, but we do need more help. Things are getting down to the wire and we have some families that have not recieved as much help as we would have liked. With that in mind, could you check out the FIN pages of these families and see if you might be able to donate something? Maybe you could team up with some other families to get a gift certificate or help another family that has something to send, but can not afford shipping.

We did it, but I"m going to come back with a list of FINs that are under 60%! Do you think we can do it? I think we can! And even if things won't get there for the holidays, I'm sure the FINs would still appreciate having their needs met.

Families that have 60% or less of their needs met.

FIN #22- 50%

FIN # 15%- 50%

FIN # 9- 53%

FIN # 18- 53%

FIN # 8- 57%

FIN # 5- 57%

FIN # 11- 59%

Please contact the facilitator listed on the FIN pages linked above or contact me (QueenOfTheMeadow) if you have any questions or would like to donate something.

Guess what?  We have gotten so many donations today, that we can take FIN #9 off of our list!  YAY!  Thank you all for your wonderful help!

Wow! 1 more of our FINs have moved to above30% of their needs filled!  Let's get the focus on our 1 family that is still below 30% of their needs met!

WE DID IT!

So all our families are at or above 50% of their needs met. I'd love to see if we can get all our families above 60% now. I really think we can do it. Even if you don't think you can get things shipped there before the holidays, I'm sure the FINs would still greatly appreciate any needs met after the holidays as well. We've gone this far, let's see what else we can do! :)

Wonderful wonderful delightful news!  With the help of some amazing Holiday Helpers one of our FiNs, who only had 22% of their needs met, just jumped up to having 65 % of their needs met.  I am so amazed by the wonderful members of MDC, who are truly reaching out to make sure these families get to enjoy the season of giving.  Thank you all!

OK, I admit it. I'm totally a dork, but I've got tears running down my face right now. Another family moved from having only 27% of their needs met to 54% of their needs met. I just want to let you all know how amazing working with all the Holiday Helpers, facilitators and other coordinators this has been. You all totally amaze me!

I have tears on my face too. Working with all the families, the Holiday Helpers, facilitators, and other coordinators is totally inspiring and amazing. Thank you for all the joy you are bringing me this holiday season.

Another FIN moved from 36% of their needs met to 55% of their needs met!  Woohoo!  Rockin'! 

Don't forget to check out our gift card community challenge going on right now.  It's easy to send a family a gift card and you can do it right from your computer.  Most places you can just print it out, slip it into an envelope and put it in your mailbox!  Easy peasy!
